Travelled in a mixed age family party oap, middle- aged, Teen and 7 and 9 year olds. Arrived at hotel nothing too exciting about exterior but on entering found a very nice, cool reception where we were booked in quickly and efficiently. The cleanliness of the hotel was immediately visible.

We went up to our rooms which again were nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Fridge with a bottle of water ready and normally replenished daily as needed. All the public areas were of a high standard but the hotel really came into its own when we went outside to the pool area.

The grounds were beautifully kept and the pool areas were brilliant. Plenty of sun-beds and poolside towels. We were able to use any of the pools choice of 4 outdoor as we could use facilities of the sister hotel around the pools, small indoor pool although our hotel was the only all inclusive so we could only get drinks from our own poolside bar which was fair enough.

Only gripe if any, security stopped you bringing any drinks up to Hotel Andalusia pool areas if they caught you, though you could buy them at their poolside bar if you felt too lazy to leave the poolside but as we were all inclusive we just mosied on down to our bar for snacks, soft drinks or ice-cream (tubs only lollies and fancy ices have to be purchased from Andalusia's pool-bar but you're not paying for anything else so we didn't find this a problem. Small shop situated in the Andalusia for papers and essentials.

Staff were all friendly and helpful and all seemed to take a pride in the hotel and surroundings.

The restaurant was very pleasant and there was always a variety of dishes which were all beautifully cooked especially for an all-inclusive. Although there wasn't specific food cooked for kids we found there was always something there they liked and burgers etc could be found at the poolside bar during the day if they didn't fancy eating at lunchtime. Only disappointment where food was concerned as you were allowed one visit per week of your stay to their ala carte restaurant. We booked once we joked there would just be a waiter running back and forth between normal buffet restaurant and this one and basically that's what it was only you didn't have the choice available at the buffet!! We'd been given a menu to fill in when we booked our space which sounded a whole lot better than it actually was. Soup was just the same, main course was just what was being served only a smaller portion placed on your plate and the dessert were just the same and the service was slow although in all fairness the waiter tried his best. We never bothered to take up our second weeks offer but we did see the funny side and laughed a lot at the whole experience and must admit we advised other Brits booking they'd probably regret it, we laughed but some had looked forward to it and had left it as a last nights treat and they were bitterly disappointed also if you do wish to experience it yourself it isn't open every day so check.

Bar staff were always polite and helpful and even if they couldn't always understand us they managed a smile ! They managed most cock-tails even if some were their own version but they went down well!! The children loved going to the bar and fetching their own soft drinks and anyone wearing a yellow band was not served alcohol as we did see a few older teenagers try!.

Entertainment in the evenings was usually a dance show, magic show, quiz (which we won twice!) followed by hotel singer and a disco time which didn't go on after midnight. Was perfectly adequate for hotel and some of the dance shows were really good. Don't miss Cool Flamenco that was really good. If we didn't feel like watching we sat in the comfortable foyer bar area were you could hear the background music and have chat, also the kids could stay safely in the entertainment bar if they wished. Wasn't a lot to do for older teens but ours were content with the pool and entertainment and made friends with other children. Yet more food was brought out into the bar area around 10.00 pm each evening for hotel guests though usually we were normally too stuffed from breakfast, lunch and dinner!!

Kids club was limited but they could go for an hour or two a day if they wished. Animacion/entertainment staff were also really pleasant and not too pushy if you didn't want to join in that was fine.

Location was on a beach which looked absolutely beautiful from the distance of your balcony but wasn't so great close, bit dusty and not suitable to swim from, though ok for a bit of a stroll. Don't expect much outside of the hotel, resorts a fair distance away ,free daily bus to Estapona and Porta Banus from hotel pick-up outside the sister Hotel Andalusia arranged at reception day before but very little else around area but we knew this before we went so it wasn't a problem, but if you do like to venture out you do really need transport though our hubbies ventured out and walked over the bridge situated down road from hotel and found a 9 hole golf course so they spent a few days there cost them about 65 euros for fees, carts and clubs.

If you feel the need to shop Porta Banus is brilliant not really a lot in Estepona although it is a quite a nice promenade and the beach is a bit better.

We travelled to the Costa Del Sol Princess with a little apprehension, as after looking at some of the reviews. But all I can say is what a load of moaning people there are out there.

The food was excellent, ok they can only cater for so many people, but every mealtime there was an excellent variety of food. The lunch time food at the poolside was a little limited, mostly the same thing everyday, but it was ok if you only wanted to have a light lunch, after all if you wanted you could get dressed and go to the restaurant.

The location of the hotel was just as the brochure said, on a quite location with no bars shops etc. Just what the doctor ordered, don't go here if you want bustling night life cos the isn't any, you have to travel to Estepona itself for bars, etc. but who needs it with the hotel such as this one.

Staff were always pleasant polite and would go out of their way to assist you and all spoke excellent English. (they were a bit said to see all the English people go home and other nationals come to stay)

Entertainment was basic but very enjoyable.

If I could pick fault, it would be that the bar area was so vast, and you did have children running about late at night.

I felt that a room just for adults would be nice.

Would definitely visit again, as it was a quiet resort, just right for sun bathing, reading and totally relaxing.

This is a superb hotel. It is immaculate with big airy lobbys and the rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The food is excellent with a wide choice (as long as you are not a plain eater!).

The location is as it says in the brochure - about 10 mins by car from Estepona and 30 mins from Peurto Banus. The courtesy bus is great, it take you to either resort in the morning and picks you up 4/5 pm in the afternoon - enough time for shopping, leisurely lunch or beaching it.

The staff are really polite and helpful - we have never been all inclusive before but I will never go half board again! It was really good value. If you didn't feel like leaving the pool to go to the restaurant for lunch, there was a wonderful selection of food, i.e., salads, fruit, hot cooked meats etc set out by the poolside bar from 12pm until 2pm.

The entertainment was excellent but the venue for this ( outside by the pool) was better at the sister hotel next door (the same entertainment was there one hour after the Princess)the venue at the Princess was not conducive to dancing - I don't know why the big bar behind the lobby bar was not used - it had a stage and a good dance floor.

I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone except teenagers- there was nothing for them to do in the evening and it was too far by taxi to go out everynight.

Unfortunately we arrived the week the hotel closed for winter.

The staff were unhelpful.

The food was terrible we had food warmed up from breakfast to evening meal and that was not hot. My 2 year old daughter is being tested for food poisioning and my 12 year son had an ear infection from the pool. The hotel bedrooms were clean but old.

I would not recommend this holiday to families as it is in the middle of nowhere.

Altogether we were very disapointed and felt we did not get value for money

First impression older style white Hotel. Roomy reception, well greeted, full explanation of facilities.
What a joy to open the room door, very spacious, clean nice decor, room overlooking the pool and wonderful sea view. The Hotel is located in a remote area but this is stated in the information when we booked. Bus daily to Estapona and Puerto Banus from the other Hotel booked the night before. Local bus at the end of the road. I personally would not reccomend this Hotel for young children. Staff extreemly pleasant, helpful. Food plentyful, traditional Med food, fish/ meats fresh fruit/salads. Not for the Chicken nugget/burger brigade. Airy eating area inside and out. Entertainment differs nightly fairly basic but ok.

As the brochure says, this is part of a 2 hotel complex with the Andalucia Princess. While the Costa Del Sol Princess is older and more basic than it's sister property it is never the less a superb hotel in an excellent location for relaxation.

If you want to brave the Spanish motorway to Malaga or Gibraltar with its pile up a day then it is on your door step but far enough away to be inaudible.

Building works, well a number of aparments were still in the process of being build to the south of the hotel but again no disturbance. As a base the hotel is excellent. Buses run daily to Estapona, Puerto Banus, Marbella etc. Beautiful!!!

The hotel, the pool (should say pools) are spotless. And it's spot the celebrity, at least during our stay, 1st day Bradley Walsh, then the Supergoup YES, who were playing in Estapona, plus Crystal Palace FC. Our most relaxing and memorable holiday in years.
