This traditional Andalucian hotel offers great value for money in a convenient location. The beach is within easy walking distance and the hotel is also close to the attractive town of San Pedro, with its good selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.

All-Inclusive - Ate too much, will need to diet when return home! Great choice, something for everyone.
Cleanliness - Maid service every day
Location - Perfect, everywhere is accesible, beach is only 5 minutes walk away, nearest town 15 minutes away and great bus service to anywhere else!
Staff - so friendly considering their work load
Entertainment - great if you've got kids.

Busy road outside, but you can't hear it and have no need to cross it!

I was pleasantly delighted with my recent stay at this hotel on an all inclusive basis. It represented amazing value for money.

The rooms were quaint and more than adequate.

The pool area was very pleasant.

The food represented value for money, as a severe critic of sub standard food, the hotel always had something for me to eat and some of the dishes were excellent and I had seconds!

A car is an absolute asset. The positioning of the hotel could be viewed as a direct link to the airport and a straight route out to Gibraltar and Rhonda. I didn't notice the noise or find it inconvenient.

All round a fantastic holiday hotel, I'm going back.

The hotel was very Andalusian and at the weekend the Spanish came from the towns to stay for a long weekend.

The hotel was very clean, although a couple of glasses were left in the stairwell in the corner, and as the week went on 2 glasses turned into 6. They were there for about 5 days.

Most of the staff were okay, one or two of the bar staff were a bit offish but they were in the minority.

I would definitely recommend asking for a superior room as some of the rooms were on the very, very busy main road.

We didn't stay in the hotel for the entertainment, but those who did seemed to have a good time.

We would visit this hotel again, but would hire a car (we didn't this time around).

A warning to people unable to walk or bad legs. This hotel is very much spaced out, although the dining area is central, you could end up with a long walk to the bar or reception.

When we were there in Feb, there is very little to do, and not much entertainment.

The hotel is approx 1 and a half miles from San Pedro, but there is a bus service.

The food leaves a lot to be desired, and I can imagine that at peek periods, long lines of people waiting for food.

The pool area is large with plenty of sun beds.

The staff are ok if they are in a good mood.

All round I could not really recommend this hotel,if you are looking for a good holiday. And a last word of warning if you hire a car. Don't pre book and hire from the airport, it is dreadful. Hire a car in your resort.

We have been going to the Cortijo Blanco since 1996 originally with tour companies but for the last 6 years independently.

WE often visit 4-5 times a year and rate the hotel highly.

Obviously it is not everyones 'cup of tea' however we have always found the hotel staff to be fantastic (depends how you treat them you see)!

Food is ok although we usually eat out evenings.

Contary to a few recent comments the staff actuall don't like it when the Spanish are in as they say they are the rudest of all.

I admit that having visited over 30 times and now knowing the staff at the hotel plus people locally we are probably a bit biased however when you consider value for money i don't know how anyone can complain.

Many people return year after year and we meet our Belgian, German, French and even some English friends every time.

If you visit during the summer holidays you will find the staff a little stressed mainly because the British are there in force with both parents and children behaving badly.

This resort was very clean and staff very friendly. The food was excellently laid out and lots of it if you like veal and such like you will enjoy the food. The soup was lovely excellant every time.

The resort is on a very busy road noy ideal for young toddlers. If its a quiet relaxing hoilday your looking for then yes the resort will suit you.

After reading the reviews, I was a little nervous about staying here. Here's how I see it.

The road is more of a motorway, two lanes either way with no central reservation, cars & lorrys travel at around 50mph with around 10-20ft gaps inbetween. We are young(ish) and fit(ish) and we only tried it once!

There isn't much in the immediate vacinity of the hotel. However, San Pedro is around 10 minutes left out of the hotel (there's a crossing!) and Puerto Banus is around half an hours walk. The bus to Peurto Banus and Marbella is just outside the hotel and the fare is 1 Euro all the way to Marbella.

The staff are friendly and hardworking - can't fault them. The hotel is one of the prettiest we saw, no high rise and lovely gardens and pool areas.

The food however was pretty poor. I like garlic, which was handy as even the peas had huge lumps of garlic in them. My husband can't touch the stuff though, and most days had a bread roll, lettuce and cheese! There are chips at every meal - even breakfast (no complaints about breakfast).

There isn't really any entertainment. The shows put on by well meaning staff are enough to make you weep. These always follow the bingo. Spain has been caught in the no-smoking thing, and this hotel has a large lounge for the smokers, which, as it was designed for non-smokers before Christmas, got really foggy! There is no background music either in the smokers lounge or the main entertainment area. In summer however, I would imagine most smokers would be outside. I wouldn't stay here again because I don't like the area, if I had to go back to the Costa Del Sol, I would stay in this hotel - so don't worry if you are about to travel. Sit back, enjoy the sun, and make the best of it!

The hotel is very nice, very Spanish and is situated in a quiet residential area just outside San Pedro which is a lovely Spanish town.

The hotel is low rise and spread out over several buildings. There are two pool areas as we were there at a quiet time only one of the pools was busy. There were always plenty of sun loungers available. Our room was comfortable and clean. The maids came every day. The hotel staff were all friendly and polite and helpful.

The food was fine. There was always plenty of choice, salads, soup and hot dishes. the children liked the snack bar which was open outwith the restaurant times and had burgers, hot dogs etc. The evening entertainment was just the usual mini disco, bingo and shows but was fine.

We had a lovely holiday at Cortijo Blanco.

Booked this holiday as an allocated on arrival. Brochure stated it was a three star accommodation.

When we arrived, we were left to try and locate our own room. The complex is very large and has a lot of corridors.

The food was awful, no choice and the meals were practically the same every day. The standard of hygiene in the dining room was very poor and cross contamination was inevitable. There were reported cases of food poisoning and at least three hospital admissions. The food was very rarely warm and a queue would often form as the dishes were not replaced. It was obvious that more staff were needed in the dining room as the tables were not cleared and you often had to do them yourselves in order to have somewhere to sit. The staff in general were rude and not very helpful.

As it appeared to be the season for Spanish to go on their holidays, the staff were only interested in them and had stated that Spanish came first.

The entertainment was reasonable, but the entertainers were not interested in translating information into English and people missed out on the activities.

Hotel Cortijo Blanco

Hotel was clean & comfortable.

Food was appalling, there was very little choice, the food was mostly cold, the salads had very little to go with them ie; meats or cheese!
who wants full english breakfast with peas carrots cauliflower & green beans!

The good thing was the snack bar at night.
