The Bayroo is well-located, right on the beach, with a large garden, a good pool area, and a secure fence through which a gate leads you onto the beach. The beach is protected by a coral reef so the sea is calm, but the coral makes the beach gritty. Further along the sea is rougher but the sand is smoother.
the hotel is fine, but now rather tired and in need of refurbishment and redecoration. Some rooms smelt damp and musty, and some had decidely dodgy electrical wiring. Our room did smell musty but this cleared after a day or two.
However the bathrooms are disappointing; we had almost a week without hot water - not too much of a problem when it was so hot, but hot water would have been nice.
The air conditioning is variable; it didn't really work properly, and NEVER worked in the dining room, which did get very hot and sticky.
The food was good; a wide variety, buffet style, some English, some Continental, and always a curry corner! having been a British colony, you will find puddings like spotted dick or golden syrup sponge and custard.
the All Inclusive bar worked well; you have to sign for everything, but if you need 18 beers, 38 wines and a coke, just sign for 'em!
