Hello people well im posting this review as I can't beleive nobdy has reported on it before!!
The Merlin hotels in general are a very very good standard, especially the Patong Merlin !!
After a very long charter flight arrived at hkt airport, transfer very quick, after going up and down various hills on the transfer coach (see what I mean when you get there )arrived into the fantastic resort of Patong !!
Anyway back to what you want to hear !!
Room = very good size very very clean ( try and get a pool view though )email the hotel !!
Location = again couldnt fault the location, just across the road from the lovely beach not to busy actually!! Food= again shocked to say absolutley fantastic, much better than expected!!
You just have to make your own entertainment, but with numerous bars shops and resteraunts all around you its not really hard to do so!!
All in all a very enjoyable holiday well worth the treck in getting there!!
Fantastic hotel .... Fantastic location (in my opinion )and fantastic staff who work very hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!!
Excursions = only did 2 went over to the Phi Phi islands they were OK I'm not sure if I was expecting a little bit more from them but still none the less a fantastic memorable excursion!!
Also flew over to Kuala Lumpur for 2 days its only a quick 60 minute flight from hkt ....well worth going over to Kuala Lumpur to see the magnificent towers ...also flights are very cheap with air asia (only paid about 20 pound return ) so really you can't go wrong !!
OK I'm depressed now even posting this review as it just makes you want to up sticks and move there.
Thailand is fantastic and also the Patong Merlin hotel will not dissapoint for the price you pay.
