We had a great stay recently in Sao Joao (Albuferia), however, whilst we were there we heard of two seperate incidents where someone was robbed, both at a cash point machine, someone will approach you and ask for a smoke and whilst they do this, their mate will steal your purse or wallet, be careful please. Also, we noticed that somone was trying to obtain your pin number from the cash points, so please, although on holiday, be aware that there is still crime abroad.
