the european qualifiers for the 2008 beach football world cup 2008 will take place in benidorm between the 13th and 18th may.
24 national teams from europe will be competing for 4 places in the finals that will be held in marseille in july
the teams are...Andorra, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland and Ukraine.
the games start at 9am in the morning and go on till about 8.30 pm
the 16th will be a rest day

I wondered what they were doing. Thanks for letting me know.
We also saw them erecting stands etc. when we were there end of April. If anyones interested the finals are on Eurosport tonight at 6pm.

I went to see England's first group game (which they won on penalties believe it or not). Gave the rest of the tournament a miss. Watched paint dry instead but I do know that Spain (what a surprise they made the final) beat Portugal 4-3.
