A few us are coming over to Vilamoura in a couple of weeks time to golf and some of the guys are hoping there might be a bar in town with a bookmaker to pass away the afternoons.
I have seen these in other countries, particularly Spain, but can't remember seeing anything like this in Portugal.
Is there anything like this in Vilamoura?

Gambling outside of official casinos is illegal in Portugal and betting shops don't exist there.
In Albufeira recently a number of illegal bookmakers operating in bars were arrested.Their money and equipment were confiscated. Don't go there!
Gambling in Portugal has stated is illegal in pubs bars,all the games available(Lottorey Polls scratch cards) are regulated by the governement and official casinos.You have a casino in vilamoura if you wish to gamble,as for betting on horses etc that won't be available in Portugal.
