I think Playa Blanca is smaller than Costa Teguise and personally prefer it. It is also (supposedly) less windy than CT. We went to the beach by the Teguise Playa and felt like thousands of needles where being injected into us with the wind blowing the sand so strongly.

i find both resorts fairly similar for laidbackness(is that a word?) tho find that depending on where you stay in playa blanca you can sometimes have a bit of a treck to bars etc. it is less windy,but sometimes it can get too hot!

Yes, Marysol is right. Both resorts have a similar ambience. Costa Teguise's entertainment offerings are a bit more spread out than Playa Blanca... although Playa Blanca's accommodation is a lot more sprawling, as has been said. Playa Blanca is newer, and is proving to be a lot more popular (don't mention any resident's forums... we come in here to get away from it) than Costa Teguise at this moment in time.

Saying that... apart from the Papagayo Beaches, I think Costa Teguise's beaches are nicer.

I think that as long as you're not too far out of town in Playa Blanca, you'll love it... and wish you'd been before.

By the way - there is one thing that makes Playa Blanca so great. I live there
