I think it took us roughly an hour via minibus (Barcelona Girona airport)

They are from Barcelona El Prat (BCN) Airport NOT Girona (GRO) - Ryanair version of Barcelona
From Girona 42 and 31km.

The flights are with Ryanair which states Barcelona, so is this the actual airport to book transfers from or not?
We flew with Ryanair and they land at Barcelona Girona airport. We stayed in Calella. You need to book your transfers from Girona 
Have checked and its Girona, thanks for making me aware of that.
