Does a Caribbean cruise appeal to you? There is so much for the kids to do onboard, plus you call in at various islands, for beach days or excursions that appeal to you. Have a look at Royal Caribbean's super ships- Freedom of the Seas,Liberty of the Seas. They both sail from Miami.
We sailed Freedom this summer and it was a resort in itself. There is an ice skating rink, rock wall, surf rider, putt putt golf, basketball, video arcade, the H2O zone- a waterpark with lazy river, water cannons..... so much to do and see.

If you fancy the Dom Rep, why not take a look at the Riu complex in Puerta plato. We had a fab holiday there a few years back and it still gets great reviews. The kids will be well looked after and entertained in the kids club both day and evening. You stay at one of the three hotels and also have use of the facilities at the other two. We stayed at the Clubhotel Riu Merengue but the others are well reviewed as wel.

we've just got back from the holiday village in Dom Rep & loved it! Didnt have any kids but all the kids there seemed to be enjoying it.

If you can wait till May 2008, have a look at the holiday village in Mexico they do 6 bedded rooms which could work out cheaper for you & it seems similar to the Dom Rep one so should be good
