The Hotel Moreyo is right next to the beach in Cala Bona. Hotel Levante is the one on the beach, but its adults only. I've heard a lot of good reports about the Moreyo though i.e. clean and reasonably priced.

Also, stayed at the Santa Lucia in Palma Nova a few years ago. That's also on the beach, but I seem to remember it being very windy - however, that was probably the time of year as we went early May.

You could try http://www.holidaylets.net we've booked an apartment through them in Santa Ponsa for 2 weeks from end of August. They deal with private apartments and have used them before for other destinations and always found them ok.

There are lots of beach hotels in Majorca. Last February we went to Majorca and we stayed at the Club Cala Marsal Hotel. It is located just 200 meters from the Cala Marsal beach. It was a fantastic trip and we enjoyed a lot. We made our booking with RoomsNet and they have lot of options.

Have wonderful vacation

We've just returned from a holiday at Esmeralda Park in Cala D'Or, the apartments are right next to the beach and the snack bar leads onto it. It really is a beautiful spot and there are other beaches within easy reach, it's excellent for little one's too.

Hotel Son Baulo is right on the beach in C'an Picafort. Main resort about 15 min walk but plenty of bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep.
We went there last year and the kids loved it, formally a Thomson Super Family hotel, although now just a 'normal thomson' one a lot of the extras have been taken away.
We would certainly go back and gets good reviews from other guests in the review section
