Alsacienne,

It's 2 years since I was in Kenya so I an't recall the actual costs, but it wasn't expensive. Tusker and White Cap were reasonable, even in the safari lodges and quite welcome after a day or big game spotting! Prices are obviously inflated in touristy areas, but nothing too bad. Diet coke was available in most places I went to, I prefer that over regular coke as it's too sweet for me.

Just back from kenya. Water 150 shillings, Beer 350 shillings at camp lodges. Best to ask driver to buy water on way to safari, really
cheap. We had drinks in local bars when not on safari at only 110 shillings, but they can be a culture shock. We felt completely
safe at all times, and the locals loved to talk about England.
