I know people have asked about Croatia before, but as Bol is a smaller resort I wondered how easy it is to change currency? We have had such variable experiences during our past travels. Most recently:

Greece (Corfu, Zante and Kos) - money changing everywhere - hotels, local shops etc. Some very good deals.

Turkey (Dalyan) - ATM available. Hotels don't change currency and post office will only cash American Express travellers cheques. The bank lost one of our traveller's cheques after cashing and asked for the money on a return visit a couple of days later(!) We didn't argue..... We also wasted a day trip to another town, when the local bank took over 1 hour to cash a traveller's cheque. They then sent one of their staff to haul us back from the local market, because they forgot to charge us commission. Is it us??

Madeira - bank charges are astronomical. No really.......

I haven't used ATMs abroad. Is there anything to worry about?
