LTE flights remain suspended until end of November

LTE flights to Spain from Norwich International remain suspended until November 29.

The Spanish airline issued a statement earlier this month announcing the temporary suspension of its scheduled flights from Norwich, as well as charter operations from other airports.

"We had hoped LTE could quickly resume its flights but sadly the suspension will remain for the next month," said Richard Jenner, managing director at Norwich International Airport.

"Despite repeated requests, the airport has received no information directly from LTE since last week so we have been unable to offer any further guidance to travellers.

"The information we have today has been sent to our in-house travel agency, Travel Norwich Airport, which is working hard to help its customers affected by the cancellations.

"We will endeavour to clarify the situation with LTE as soon as we can."

Travel agents who have made bookings for customers are currently receiving notification from LTE about the cancellations.

Passengers affected by the cancellations are advised to return to where they originally made their booking to find out about refunds and alternative arrangements.

Those who have flights as part of an ATOL-protected package should contact the tour operator with which they booked.

Passengers who booked directly with LTE should contact the airline.

A statement from LTE to travel agents today reads: "According to the EC Regulation No 261/2004 and our General Conditions, and our actual situation, you can request the refund of your ticket according to Article 11 of our General Conditions."

It asks affected passengers to send details of their reservations to this address for refunds:

LTE looks to resume Norwich flights in December

Spanish airline LTE is hoping to resume scheduled flights from Norwich International Airport in December.

The airline suspended all its flights earlier this month but announced late yesterday that it has resumed charter operations from other airports.

"We are pleased to hear that LTE is back up and running again with charter flights and that all their aircraft are operating," said Richard Jenner, managing director at Norwich International Airport.

"We will be working closely with LTE to ensure that all the requirements for a resumption of scheduled flights from Norwich are fulfilled.

"We and LTE both hope that scheduled services will begin again in December and we will keep passengers informed of developments as soon as we hear about them.

"I am very sorry that passengers in October and November have been affected by this temporary suspension but we will do all we can to ensure a return to normal services to Spain."
