Thanks Alan, that's a lot clearer now. I don't have a webcam on my laptop or desktop unfortunately. I very rarely call home when I'm on holiday so don't know if it's worth bothering.

Going through the dreaded jetlag at the moment. Landed back on Wednesday and straight back to work Thursday and Friday, which involves a 60 miles drive round trip. Home from work and pretty much straight to bed and slept through till next morning. Every longhaul I wonder if it's worth it.

And then you get over it and Vegas starts calling again. Have you tried melatonin? It's supposed to regulate your sleep. My dad swears by it, but I don't think you can buy it here.

I bought melatonin the first time we went to Vegas. It's supposed to help you sleep, but I have no problem doing that, it's staying awake that's the problem.

We arrived home about 1.30pm on Wed and I only managed to stay awake till 4 then slept right through till 6.30am. Got home from work and was asleep by 6pm till next morning and last night it was 6.45 till lunchtime today. I could just conk out now, but will try again to stay up as long as possible, but I think it will be another early night.

Don't know what to suggest then. It is always worse coming back. Makes it worse when you have to go straight back to work.

Luci that 2 weeks as gone so fast thank you for such a detailed trip report, although we are going to Orlando anything about the US helps, it sounds like you had a great time, the jet lag has got to be worth it, easy for me to say as I don't suffer from it :shush.

I think I still have a day to add, but it's on the laptop and I'm on the desktop at the moment so I don't know when I'll get that up.

If anyone has any questions fire away and I'll try to help.

it has been interesting. Do you think I could go to LV and enjoy it without being into gambling?

Fiona am sure you would love it,we don,t gamble, maybe have a few $ on the slots
when walking through the casinos ,the hotels are out of this world and could spend
hrs walking through so much to see and do.Also great shows, this will be our 5th time
so speaks for its self. :)

I hadn't gambled till I went to Vegas, nor did I think I would like gambling. I'm still a very very low roller (only put maybe $5 in a machine or $20 in roulette chips if I can play 25c roulette, or $2 or $3 for blackjack). What you will find is that it is worthwhile to play low denomination slots to get free drinks! Similarly try playing Craps at Casino Royale, and you will have great fun and get good drinks service. Drinks are free when gambling, but don't forget to tip $1 per drink (or more if you want to try to get quicker service next time).

We found that $1 tip per drink got us good to regular service everywhere as we saw some people who didn't tip at all.

There is plenty in Vegas to keep a non-gambler busy for the first couple of visits at least, especially if you intend going to the Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire as side trips.

We went last year and none of us put so much as a cent into a machine.....not interested in the gambling part of the holiday at all....and we had a ball......so much so that we are going back next year when last year was meant to be a one off.....so yes you can enjoy Vegas without having to gamble

I keep looking at LV and then changing my mind and booking elsewhere. I might try to combine it with somewhere else.

Good idea Fiona, last year did Sanfrancisco Las Vegas and New Orleans.
This August its a carribean cruise from Miami then Orlando 5 days, flying
on to Phoenix and staying at Flagstaff for the Grand Canyon, then
driving on to Las Vegas for 8 nights, :tup
