well , back to drab England after 10 lovely (but often wet!) days in Icmeler.

Flew out with BA from GAtwick , flight on time , complimentary drinks and the most legroom we have ever had on a dalaman flight.
Arrived at Dalaman early , quick baggage collection and straight off on our transfer to the moonlight apartments Icmeler.
We booked these DIY with Nev the owner who was very friendly and attentive , I arrived late at night to a lovely welcome and poss the largest 2 bed apartment I have ever seen!

Was worried the apartments may be a little bit out of town but neednt have worried , 10 minute stroll saw us to the tansas , walk was definalty much easier in october then it had been in August heat.
We had lovely weather for the first 5 days after which we had rain , storms , thunder , cloud and the odd breakthrough of sun , luckily we had made the most of the best weather to do the jeep safari and water park which the kids wanted to do , water park was trouble free and again nice to do outside the height of the season - Jeep safari not quite as easy - very cold oup those mountains after you have been soaked but very nice at the beach stops!

Having only ever been to Icmeler in August before , it was nice to be able to walk through icmeler without the sweltering height and we stopped to wonder at the lizards and toirtoises which we would have been too hot and flustered to bother with before , shopping and the market was also much easier at this time of year!
There were some end of season bargians but most of the prices were the same as they had been in August.

It was great to meet up with old friends in icemler and our first port of call was the Moonlight resturant to visit Memhet , as usual Great service , faciilties for the family and most importantly fantastic food.
Much of our time was sent in Noels bar with Leon and the boys who kept us amused with their humour and dancing all evening , we ate in here a couple of times and usual excellent food , the chicken romano is particulary good.

alot of the bars were very quiet with many in the village already boarded up for the season , we saw our friends at amigos paradise on a few occassions and had a perfect lamb roast here.

New friends were made at the dreamboys , richards place and the red lion and for the first time in 4 years we ate in the love boat where I had the most fantastic meal - a little more expensive than other places but worth the extra - lovely place.

Despite the weather we still found Icmeler as charming as ever and cannot wait to return in sunnier times next August,

Flew home yesterday and will try and always fly thursdays in future as the airport is a lot less busy!
