Saint Michels Mount is a must
try to get there early --before the coach trips start arriving expect the café and restaurants inside to be a little pricy though but well worth the climb just for the view
but the trip in you pass lots of interesting places -- the Windmill is a museé so worth a look especially if they are milling grain that day you can buy so REALLY fresh flour

got a couple of shots of Mont Saint Michel here

Try Alligator Bay on the road out to Mont St Michel. It has lots of alligators, crocodiles, turtles, tortoises, etc and we have some fab photos of our littles in beside some huge tortoises. We went last year as somewhere to go on a wet day and we spent a good half day there.
The Caen Memorial is also very child friendly.
