Papa, it is doable in a day but i wouldnt want to make the trip there and back in a day, i have done, but it takes us almost 2 hours driving ourselves there from Candolim and we go down there to stay every month.... obviously we drive more slowly (or carefully) than the taxi drivers who forever overtake us (generally on the sharp bends or brow of a hill :yikes ) it is worth an overnight stay at least and if you dont fancy the basic beach huts there are guest houses/rooms... it is a tranquil and beautiful place...

I stayed at Ciarans but its expensive 2900rs a night. There are much less expensive huts but its for a special occasion.

Or you can get down by bus...3 actually :D - 4 hours and about 50p for the two of us LOL!

Bet thats an experiance in itself!

It was brilliant...especially as each bus looked like it had been made out of 6 other buses :D
Passing and stopping in towns to pick people up..and what they brought onto the bus LOL! When we eventually got off there were some tuk tuk's waiting that took us the final half mile or so into Palolem.
One of the bus stations..
