Hi,

Just back from Playa Paraiso.
Stayed at the Dunas Paraiso and there is a walkway around the outskirks of the hotel complex and you can then walk around by the sea to the shops and bars.
There is an area where the walkway stops down in the bay/cove but you can still pass through here and you join the walkway again.

There is a lot of building work in progress but there was hardly any noise disturbance even although it was quite near to the hotel.

Hi claire62,

Playa Paraiso is a small resort still being developed so there is quite a lot of partially built apartments and hotels to be found.
If you can manage to ignore this work then its a pleasant enough place.

There are a few shops on the main street with electrical goods, cameras and tourist souvenir stuff.
There are a handful of bars, chinese restaurant, cafe ,car hire, supermarket etc to be found.
You will have to go to Las Americas for a better range or if you like to visit one of the markets elsewhere.
Hiring a car was an advantage as it gave us more freedom
There was a courtesy bus into Las Americas 3 times a day from our hotel, this may be the case at the Fiesta Floral as well.

When do you go?

Andy.

thanks for you info andy we go 3 weeks today, were not really bothered about shopping we normally have 1 day out and just chill in the hotel as its all inclusive...how far is it from the airport??

Hi claire62,

Playa Paraiso is about 30/35 minutes drive from the airport.
It's motorway all the way except for the last 4 or 5 kilometres.

Are you taking a taxi transfer or coach?

Andy.

andy,
we are talking the coach its a package deal im glad its only 30 min or so our last transfer was 2 hours :sulk

Hi claire62,

The time I quoted was for a direct route from the airport along the motorway.
It may take a bit longer if the coach is calling into other resorts to drop off pasengers before it arrives in Playa Paraiso.
Still it won't be as long as your 2 hour transfer.... not what you want after a long flight!!!

Andy.
