There were 4 of us stayed end of July and some people were ill then too. Out of us 4, my husband had the runs for a few days, I had it for one day. The other two had no problems whatsoever. We ate, drank anything, water, beer, spirits, mixers. All food (I had a salad every day/evening for a starter), we were just careful being out in the sun, which does contribute to people getting ill (too much sun then into an air conditioned room).

I recommend wearing a hat every day (watch the back of your neck, put plenty of sun lotion on that area in particular). We also found you "didn't" have to be out in the immediate sun to get a good tan.

I am booked up to stay in this hotel next year and although the info and pics available online have been useful there's a few questions I cant get answered. Can anyone here help me?

>did you get any jags from your doctor before going?
>how much is trip to Cairo and what were the details of your trip?
>are taxis readily available to get you to Naama? do you negotiate the fee before departing?
>is there a waterpark nearby and did anyone visit the dolphin show?
>were you pleased with the alcohol on the all inclusive as I have read many complaints about beer being weak and spirits diluted?

Any help much appreciated!!!

>did you get any jags from your doctor before going? No

>how much is trip to Cairo and what were the details of your trip?
About £130 each but we didnt go.

>are taxis readily available to get you to Naama? do you negotiate the fee before departing?
there are taxis out side the hotel, these are much better that the blue and white cabs they run a fixed price service.
we did use the blue and whites and i found as long as yuo as what its going to cost before hand we never had any problems.

>is there a waterpark nearby and did anyone visit the dolphin show?
Yes there is a water park but we never went, as for the dolphin show, well im not a tree hugger but dont go and see the shows the dolphins are not kept in the best conditions and the less people that go the better chance that the company will close and then the dolphins can be returned to better conditions, so i ask you to put the animals before the 30 mins of fun.

>were you pleased with the alcohol on the all inclusive as I have read many complaints about beer being weak and spirits diluted?
the beer was fine and we didnt see anyone watering down the spirits as they marked the bottles and sealed them each night but i think that most of the spirits can strip paint!

hope that helps, the hotel is great but there is very little for the kids between 5-12 to do there, so we are gogin back to Turkey next year and we wil return when my little girl is old enougth to scuba dive.

we're going on the 27th nov, a couple of questions
how much should we pay for a taxi from the airpot and what are the best ones?
should we buy snorkling gear before we go or can we get some reasonably cheap there without having to go miles to get some?

please dont go to the dolphin show, see the other thread regarding dolphinelle. If you really love these intellegent, adorable animals, you wont go. Please sign the online petition to get this place closed down. By the way - great hotel but Kiroseiz Beach better.

I got back from St George last Sunday and had the BEST time of my life!!!

Honestly, make your own judgements on this hotel because we did and enjoyed it soooo much!

The staff are amazing! We spent most of our holiday with Hassan and Alex who are quality! Agala!!! Fady at the quiet pool bar is hilarious! "More English, More Trouble" haha!

I went away with my friend and with us only being 20 and 21 we were a bit curious of what to expect! But, on our 1st night we got chatting to a fab bunch of people whom we're keeping contact with and our holiday was a buzz from then on! Hassan, Alex, David, Ahmed, Katie, Jon, Tillie, James, Selina, Bob, Julie and Jimmy! Me and Tasha had a fantastic holiday! We also made friends through playing Volleyball etc (The man judging was funny! can't think of your name but you know who u r)

We never experienced any tummy bugs so I gather that the comments from people saying they did, it could have been from too much alcohol, food and not enough water? Don't get me wrong, we all had our fare share of dodgy heads but that was purely from the alcohol haha!

Weather was gorgeous, hotel was gorgeous, staff were amazing. What more can you ask for! 8)

I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return!!

Hope this helps?? Any questions, feel free! I'll be more than happy to answer!

ps. Take a look in the bag shop, just before the hotel entrance! Amazing bags in there for cheap prices!!! x

Hi Karenppp,we stayed at this hotel last october.Very clean, staff very helpful, food ok,bedrooms huge! The only downside is that the hotel is a bus or taxi ride away from Naama Bay & there is not alot to do in the evenings at St George.I personally would not take children to this hotel,it is just to far away from anything.Mind you,if you do decide to go then you must do the camel ride trip in the desert, great fun.Hope this helps a bit,Ferret :)
