Looks like I might have convinced the hubbie that it would be a good idea for me to squeeze in a February holiday to Goa in between our holidays in Dec and March ( I do full time child care so get one holiday a year away from the kids!). Thing is the friend who I usually go away with doesn't think she can afford it this time so am debating going alone (or on my own with the kids). I have been alone before and had a really good time but that was 7 years ago and I had a good Goan friend there at the time to look out for me. That friend has now moved to Dubai. Thinking safety I'm looking for somewhere fairly close to the beach but not far from some decent restaurants so that I'm not walking about in quiet areas at night on my own. I don't mind being in my own company but think I'd also like a few other people around at night in case I don't feel like going out. Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions for decent places/hotels. We normally stay in the North - usually Candolim but I'm open to other ideas.
