Those of you that find your staying on the US27 Davenport area a little bit quieter that the US192 will find a lot of comercial development has gone on along this road with a new Publix near Heart of Florida Hospital and Webbs Candy (a must for Fudge lovers). Up near Cagans Crossing where the US27 and US192 meet there has been a lot of new shops and a few restraunts opening also near the I-4 and US27 there are some good eating places, do try Cracker Barrel a country store type restraunt and shop ask for Reeta a waitress in the restraunt as she is soo nice and nothing is too much trouble to mix and match your order.... There is also a big development there called Posner Park with big stores opening soon and its going to be big.
If you book a hotel or villa and find its on the US27 and want to know whats about then by all means ask me..

Thanks Malcolm for the news on the US27 area. We stayed there in Oct 2006 down at Southern Dunes but we always used the I4 to go back up to Orlando, rather than going north on the 27. Didnt realise there were more shops and restaurants on that road but we are going back there again in Oct 2009 so these tips are helpful.
