I know what you mean! I have been quite depressed before a couple of holidays looking at forecasts. However, I do find Weatherunderground to be fairly accurate( as accurate as any forecast can be). What you will probably find is that there may thunderstorms but these could only last a short while eg 10-15 minutes. I found with Koh Samui for example these were almost always early evening and in Penang they were after midnight!

Have been to Phuket in March....just across the way from Krabi so has similar weather patterns. Sunshine every day all day.no rain at all when we went..too hot in fact.

Thanks for the replies. In the end I do like to watch a spectacular thunder storm and if its only 15 minutes that wouldn't be too much of a hardship
