Food at the hotel was very good plenty of it although luke warm (the way the bulgarians like to eat it. The cleanliness was second to none and all staff very helpful and freindly,did not see any better treatment for other nationality's there. Location very good but can be noisy on road side. There wasn't much entertainment on whilst there but plenty to do in sunny beach itself.This is our second time in Bulgaria and we have booked up to go to Kalina Gardens next year with freinds as well. Pool area clean and plenty of sun beds to go round for everyone.Our rep Drago was very good and very welcoming to

We visited Kalina Gardens 2004.
The hotel was very clean and the beds were made daily but make sure you lock your rooms because we had our purse stolen. The security wasn't very helpful, but we sorted it out in the end.
The food was alright but after a week the food seemed to be the same. The location was very good and there was much to do for adults and children and there were lots of pubs around, also there was a water park just down the road.
The staff weren't that good, if it wasn't for one good waiteress called Sissy who tried very hard to help us and spoke superb English. She deserved a big star.
The entertainment was very poor we saw one show in a fortnight but it was alright, also the bar closed early a couple of nights.
There was a very large outdoor pool with two sections for toddlers and the other for older children and adults, there was also a nice indoor pool which was very cold and nobody seemed to use it. You had to get up early about 7:30 to save your sun lounge.
Overall the holiday was ok. Our room was spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the pool but we would like to try somewere different.

Had a fantastic time in the kalina garden, not too sure why people are saying that the germans are treated better by the staff as i did not find this to be the case what so ever.
Very clean with big spacious rooms, massive showers, food was lovely. COOKED JUST RIGHT. lovely cold pool, with lots of sunbeds to get yourself a nice tan.
Pool tables around the pool area, also table tennis and minigolf, so something for people of all ages at this fabulous hotel.

kalina gardens is a very clean modern hotel in a quiet area just a short walk from the centre of sunny beach. the maid service was very good and towles were changed when needed. the hotel room was a very good size with air conditioning two large double beds and a shower you could take the family in. the hotel staff were not the most pleasent people in the world unless you were german of course. The food always looked good but was genrally luke warm (the way the bulgarians and the germans like it) and genrally german oriatated. Chips were finally added to the menu after about three days of requests by us and other english residents. I would recormend this hotel to anybody but beware as with anywhere in the resort the german people tend to come first and if they don't htey will just push in to the front anyway.

Kalina hotel very nice, spotless and very modern.Breakfast excellent. The staff were not the most friendliest of people but the entertainment staff were great especially the ones around the pool area. T hey had lots of time for the children even the little ones and had them join in with the adults all the time.The maid service was great they even did the rooms late afternoon if someone had difficulty in getting up early. We would recommend this hotel and would go there again.
