Just got back 5/8/05. Had a fantastic holiday in a great hotel. We have stayed in half board/full board hotels before which have much better food but were not doing a report to complain about limited options for breckie as you can live with what there was.
Evening meals would have been better if it was a buffet style but then again the service was excellent fast and the food was nice. Go for the shopska salad with rump steak & onions very tasty.
Hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
The entertainment was not the best but if like us you spend most days at the pool with your kids a stroll around the resort at night gives you a welcome break although the football juggler was unmissable.
Durirng the day get you and the other guests & kids together and have a game of footy at the back of the hotel it's a great way to make new friends.
The grounds in the hotel are very safe for the kids at night and the pools and pool area are very very clean and if like us you have a 3 year old the small pool is very clean and safe.
Don't forget your game of bingo and happy hour in the inside bar if your lucky like we were you might win and have two days spends for free.

If this so called hotel is 3* then you should be able to stay in a "pig stye" for the same star rating.
My wife and I, with our three grand children, arrived in the afternoon of 22/05/2005, it was raining and cool (no fault of the hotel) we where shown to our so called room which was far less than basic.
We had paid for half board accomodation. On the morning of 23/05/2005 at approx' 0100hrs I had to phone reception and ask them if there was any chance of us getting any sleep, considering that we had three children with us, I was told that they had a private party going on and things would eventually quieten down. They did at approx'0200 hrs.
The breakfast was reasonable but the evening meal just detioriated as the week went on and we started eating elsewhere. The only outstanding member of staff was a waitress called "Yovka", who was very helpful to us and everyone else staying there.
On our departure which was at 0400hrs the hotel staff didn't even give the children, or ourselves, any kind of " drink or pack up" which is almost mandatory in other hotels as a good will gesture (other passengers on the coach all had some form of pack up as it is pretty obvious that you are going to miss breakfast that has been paid for.)
Please take my advice and stay away from this place called "Hotel" I really have seen better places flattened.

The food wasnt that good so if you are going to go then go bed and breakfast because the breakfast was brilliant had amazing choices but the evening meals were quite poor so we had to eat out!! the rooms are cleaned everydays around 11 o'clock in the morning. i loved this hotel so much none of us wanted to leave would go back there tomorrow if i could. the hotel staff were friendly excpecially in the bars they were very helpful and told you where to go for best bargins and things like that. there is bingo everyday at 6 for an hour and there is a quiz around the pool area around 2 o'clock on certain days. kareoke is on mondays, wednesdays and fridays and it starts at 11 o'clock!! this is very good for the whole family. Loved it sooooo much!! good for the less mobile as there are two lifts if you need them!! the hotel does lots of different excursions and Khans tent is amazing the whole family will have abrilliant time!! the lazy day cruise i good but the shopping trip to bourgas is a let down i advise you not to go if you want to go shopping as it is very good its better in sunny beach right by our hotel but if you like architechture go to bourgas!! nessabar is amazin place for architechture and has good shops with a brilliant ice cream parlour quite boring for the kids though!!

Just back!!! We went as a family and all had a fantastic time, good spacious suites, air conditioned, very clean. The bar staff were very pleasant. Bingo and happy hours every night. The food around the pool was excellent,it catered for everyone, there was a chinese around the pool area which served delicious food. This is definitely the place to go for a great holiday, 15 of us travelled and none of us wanted to go home. The hotel is in a great spot for everyone, We are planning to go back next year and would choose this hotel again.

this hotel is wonderful the rooms are large with some of them air conditioned . the cleaners were round two and three times a day . the rooms were spotless they even folded our clothes that were lying around . they were also very kind . the food around the pool was lovely enjoyed every bit of food i got in the hotel . the location is in a beautiful spot just a few minutes walk to the beach . the hotel staff were very polite and very talkitive they are the nicest staff i have ever met . the entertainment was okay but the same people sang everynight . there is bingo and happy hours everynight which is brilliant . the exchange rate is okay but you would be best getting your money changed in the victoria which is quite close . the beach is brill but very crowded . we are all gutted that we are back home we will definitely come here next year .

My 2nd visit to the sever/yug which are part of the polyusi complex,as before we stayed in the yug,hotel room was basic but clean. 2 bedrooms,bath and toilet.
Maids cleaned every day. The room got very warm during the day we had to hie a fan 2nd week,5lev per day .the food we thought was better than our last visit,buffet breakfast,eggs,cheese,hams,pate,flakes etc.dinner was waitress service choice of about a dozen meals,salads,soups plenty of meat dishes,the goulash was a dream,menu was changed weekly.
Situated about 10mins walk from beach,surrounded by shops and eateries.
The staff were frindly and helpfull,as was the balkan rep.
Entertainment was not up to much duo on by the pool in the evenings,quiz round the pool.

Just getting back yesterday and we all didn't want to leave! I would advise to go self catering as the food isn't up to much at all and if you look around the market, close to the city centre, the food is unbelievabley cheap (espeically the alcohol), DJonnys restaurant being a favourite. Entertainment for kids isn't to good, with just bingo and a karoke very late at night 12am. Would go back today, but not for the food. Exchange rate is crap, so look around hotels for the best rate. The further away from the centre the cheaper it gets! Did accidently open someone elses safe though with my key!!!!!!

Went here with my husband son and father. Hotel excellent, staff very good. Made good friends with 2 staff one called Sue, the other called Valentena still keep in contact with them.
Location very good for beach my son spent every day on beach water sports so cheap he went on every thing they had to offer he even did a 60ft bungie swing (I could'nt look though).
Food at hotel ok but better if you ate out. We had some wonderful meals, drink great and very cheap. Loads to do for kids. Pool so clean you could eat your dinner off it all of hotel so clean and tidy very nice place to stay.

This is a good hotel for families. The guests are mainly Irish. The family rooms are basic but spacious. The breakfasts were awful. The food in the restaurant in the evening was okay and there is also an Indian restaurant by the side of the swimming pool. There are "Happy Hours" on at various times during the evening and this hotel is quite lively at night (the karaoke starts at 11.30) and there is a 24 hour bar. There is also an Interent cafe which was very popular with the children.
