First impressions when you pull up at the Hotel are not great. However, when you walk through the door that all changes.

The reception is very impressive and the staff are all very welcoming. We were taken to our room by a member of staff and our cases were brought up by a porter.

*Accomodation*

We were in a one bedroom apartment and were pleasantly surprised to find a double bed in one room and two proper single beds in the other (not the sofa beds we expected)The rooms had patio doors onto 2 balconies which both had great views over the pool area. The room was very clean and the maid service excellent with the rooms being tended to every day and towels changed every other day. The only slight let down was the fact that there was only air conditioning in the bedroom.

*Food*

We originally booked on a Bed and Breakfast basis but after 3 days we decided to upgrade to all inclusive as we were so impressed by the hotel.

The rate offered by the hotel was significantly better that that by our travel agent before the trip and saved us about 40%!

The food is plentiful, of very good quality and there is something available all day so you need to have your post holiday diet planned!

Another bonus of all inclusive is that if you go out for the day you can order a packed lunch. I challenge you to eat it all!

*Entertainment*

There was a daily timetable of events that took place around the hotel to cater for most tastes and then there was entertainment every evening in the ball room. The entertaiment seems to rotate on a 2 weekly basis with magic shows, Cyprus Night, Cabaret all included. There is also a childrens disco earlier in the evening for the younger ones and cash bingo for those who fancy a "flutter".

*Pool*

The large, free form pool is excellent with waterfalls and bridges. It has a good range of depths to suit all swimmers. The most impressive thing about the pool is the cleanliness. Every morning at 6.30am an army of cleaners descend on the area and it is all hosed down brushed clean.

There is an indoor pool but this seems to suffer due to the popularity of the outdoor pool and is somewhat "tattier" and is very cold.

*Staff*

The staff are all very helpful and dealt with any requests promptly and efficiently.

Hotel
When to this hotel for 1 week at the beginning of October 2004. Our party consisted a 4 adults (55/52/34/31), 1 child (5) and an infant (15M). The flight and transfer from Paphos went very smoothly and took only 50 minutes.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were all invited to book in, whilst enjoying a cold glass of fresh orange. When the smooth booking was completed, they put our room number on our bags and showed us to our room, with the bags following shortly behind.

What a surprise when had, when entering the rooms - we had only booked 2 studios, to sleep 2A's and 1C respectfully. Our room had FOUR singles beds and the cot; the other had 2 single beds and a single come double sofa bed. Each had a separate bathroom and table/chairs to eat at (never used!) and balcony looking over the pool. The view was almost the same as the shot in most of the brochures/websites.

That night we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant (all boards were available including all inclusive). They had a deal on, where if you purchased your evening meal for the week, you got your breakfast free. After sampling the evening meal, a 5 come 6 course banquette, we were smitten.

The hotel and its staff work very hard to make sure you have a good time and don

I have to agree with Pete Ottwell, I think we had the same room, but they did fix the aircon, and we had the same maid. The location is great especially if you hire a car. You must try the Nagshead for food and drink, you get more than you can eat at a good price. The hotel staff are very helpful and I would recommend the hotel. My wife Catherine would love to go back next year.

IF YOU DO NOT LIKE CATS DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!It Is like a cat farm! but that was ok as they didnt get in the way they kept away the cockroaches!!!

just came back from there two days ago and it was a brilliant holiday. very friendly hotel, friendly staff, the maids are very friendly and bubbley, the only annoying thing with the maids is evry morning they clean the around the pool bit. that is about 7 o clock in the morning by which you would have to be awake monitoring your sunbeds as people do come down very early in the mornings to get "the best" sunbeds. and if you do not stay with your sunbeds before 8 o clock then the pool lady will come around and carefully and tidly fold up your towels very neatly i must add and take them to the front of the pool restuarant. so if somebody is sitting in your sunbeds after 8 oclock you kno were to collect them and you can't argue because there is a sign saying it.

The food is very nice, a diffrent choice every day. if your a fussy teenager like me then you would have chipp butty (chips from the childrens cart) and a roll with gravy at the meat counter where the old man does it every evening! the cheffs are abit too friendly! and the plates are extremely hot. i would make them warm not ridiculously hot where you have to use 12 serveeyettes! the one time they was so hot that the cheff kept giving me more and more cerveeyettes but i still cud not carry it the head cheff came out and carried it around for me as i told him a couple of potatoes, abit of lamb in roqeufort sauce and vegetables and i was very thankful for that.

The childrens food was the same evrynight! chips, beans, peas, sausge or if you are early then you get the luxury of having a burger!! or even fish finguers - so i stuck to the adults meals as i was payed for as an adult.

The entertainment was exceptionaly good! basically like any other holiday accomidation, its all the same stuff- very friendly entertainers and very bubbly.

we did have a problem wif ants in our hotel room so we contacted recption, went out for the day to the water park which from first impressions looks C R A P but is very very good!! For everyone! The lazy river was my best being in a big rubberring! Well when we came back from the water park our room was sorted out and we had fresh fruit and two little bottles of wine on our table and our room was very tidy for us.

every afternoon the pool waiteress would come around and serve everybody fresh fruit. Most of the time it was grapes and they would make you take a very big bunch of grapes and all the other times it was water melons and/or apples.

I would recomend Friends Bar! It Is VERYYYYY friendly - it dont look speshal but it is brilliant. Its a veryyy friendly bar with friendly people that work there such as demetrios! The man behind the bar that does your cocktails! Its a bar suitable for everyone! And if You look behind the bar at the pictures Im in one!! :-)

We Will defo be looking at that hotel again for next years holidays! The location was very good! you come out of the hotel and turn right and right again and there is a very long road full of all sorts of stuff! The clubs are really good. Theres triangle, That's a good club, it plays all 60s, 70s, 80s, n 90s in remixs! its a cheesey club but very good and not many locals at all but in the club basement is really good!!!!! It's full of locals and is always very busy!! none of them open till late but finish very early in the morning if you get me! So make sure you have anough sleep before clubbing in basement! Both are not far from eachother so why not do both in one night! We did!! Mc d's is just around the corner from this hotel if your children like mc d's. they also have burger kings and kfc's! And "shrimpys" there's a new one for you! the water sports is very good! Friendly people in cyprus! Enjoy your holiday! xxx

I liked the area the hotel was in, the excursions, the pool was a bit packed but the beach although small and not up to Larnakas standards was ok.

My main complaint is that I and my boyfriend had to pay 100 supplements each as only 2 of us when the room should fit 3. Yet when got there the room in the Royal Court Apartments barely fit us both in! All the other rooms -we nosed as being cleaned! - had a sofa bed and loads of room, yet our room just had a double bed and no room.

At the moment we are in a battle with Olympic trying to get our supplements back, they claim there was an invisible third bed (no camp bed either) and room for it -as if! - This has put us of ever going with Olympic and I urge you not to either!

I would go back to the hotel as well situated but never with Olympic.

Originally booked half board, as the food and facilities of the hotel were so great we upgraded to all inclusive out there for a competative rate.

Hotel location is not too bad but can be quite tiredsome on the feet if you visit the main stretch everynight

Hotel staff were out of this world. The cleaner Kiki was exeptional.

Entertainment was mainly focused for the children but enjoyable for the begining of the night.

i am also 16, and have just come back from this hotel, although when you arrive at this hotel you may think oh my god what have i let myself in for, once you actually get inside the hotel it is very nice.
there is entertainment for littler children but there is not really anything for teenagers to do , which is one thing that lets the hotel and all its team down.
the food is good aslong as you are not vegetarian as there is a separate section for vegetarians but there is only one choice.
the hotel is very spacious with room to play in,or just to relax.the staff at this hotel are very welcoming
be warned if you do not like cats, dont go to this hotel!

Our first visit to The Atlantica, a perfect hotel for both adults and children. Definitely worth a second visit. A family hotel rather than a singles hotel. Staff were great and friendly. Swimming pool area was cleaned every morning. Meals inside and outside were fantastic. Only one thing which is lacking from this hotel is outside entertainment. Families holidaying at the Atlantica were all friendly and the kids made lots of new friends.
Looking for a hotel in Cyprus to top this next year!
