Well after reading some of these reviews from some people i was a little hesitant to go to the alcudia pins and so was my mum as it was just me and her travelling this year . But once there i was enjoying it straight away everything was absolutley fantastic and i would just like to say the hotel and airtours team were so friendly and really helpfull which was really great anmd what we needed as we didn't really have a clue about anything !

Food was fantastic we went self catering so ate were we wanted we bought food for dinner and breakfast from the supermarket which had a really good variety of everything you got at home which was great . In the evenings we ate at the pizzeria which was lovley and we ate once at burger pins which was great value as was the pizzeria and we ate a few times in alcudia and the port we ate at the hotel resteraunt and at our favourite place the barbecue opposite the selfcatering resteraunt were we also ate . The barbecue became or favorite place to eat the value was excellent and the staff were really friendly and pleasant as for the food absolutley gorgeous and very generous portions !

Entertainment on a night was fantastic we really enjoyed it and not only were there great acts the games were absolutley hilarious ! we had a fantastic time and everything was perfect for our stay at the hotel the barstaff and cleaners and reception staff were all extremley friendly and they would talk to you and you could have a laugh with them the only thing wrong was on arrival our tap was a little slow running in the bathroom we told reception and within 20 mins it was fixed !!

As for the view from the apartment one person mentioned being above the slef service resteraunt where there were massive fans and noise we were there near to and we had a lovely peaceful area near to the hotel reception and u couldn't hear anything from the kitchens or smell and if you ever happened to see the chefs it was during the day while they had a break and they were always very friendly and said hola!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the alcudia pins ad it was mainly becuase of the beautiful pool and staff who were so nice and helpful and they couldn't help but be pleasant !

p.s The pool was fine througout the day a little lively but that is just like everywhere and its not so crowded as so you cant move its fine and the pool was checked at least once a day for testing and it was always clean if there was a piece of rubbish spotted at a time the lifeguard (no joke ) would jump in and go get it thats how through the staff were !!! Really if you are going you really have it to look forward to you your'e so lucky i honeslty can say i want to go back i really loved it there and i was actually sad to leave ! so go and have a great time !

We stayed here for 2 weeks. The kids club entertainers were absolutely fantastic, in fact they are the hotel.....

The food was practically fish every night oh and rabbit was a popular along with pork. Even the vegetarian options which they boast is vast consists of 2 small dishes occasionally with fish. Also everything is flavoured with garlic !!!!!!!!

We survived on chips and very occasionally would skip meals and go elsewhere. As for the breakfasts, well the cooked breakfasts hope you like your sausages curried,bacon and beans sweet, and eggs partially cooked. Then this is your hotel.

The shops are overpriced in the surrounding area and the on site super market prices is appaling 4 euros for a packet of penguins(6) crisps just over 1 euro.
we spent most of our time in Alcudia town which is a short taxi ride away costing about 10 euros (7 quid)each way.

The complex was very clean and we had maid service every other day. The hotel seems to turn the air conditioning on and off when they feel like it. I made constant complaints about this. The thermostate is stuck on 22 degrees. we had a ground floor pool view absolutely fantastic but we were so close to the entertainment that you could just sit on your balcony and be entertained which also meant if you wanted an early night when you have 3 kids well think again it is just to loud.... But, the entertainment stops at 12.00am..
We had a few problems with groups of teenagers hanging around the pool getting tipsy on alcopops throwing sun loungers and towels etc into the pool and running screaming up and down the corridors.
Most of the hotel staff were really friendly although some of the receptionists can be a little short at times.
We would not go back to this hotel simply because of the food and the location.

Great for familes, otherwise dont bother.

This place was a huge holiday camp for brits, and only brits stay there.

We went as two couples, aged 21 - 25.. dont expect any decent bars in the immediate area, there is nothing at the hotel unless you like the onsite entertainment. Spin disco is full of 14-16 year olds that have been let loose by the parents for the night.

Taxi ride into main town costs about 8 euros, bus 1.50 euro, and its full of english orientated in and out restaurants, serving something and 'chips' - you get the chineese restaurants too.. instead there are a few nice ones in Alcudia Port.. go there for any niceish meal.

Bar wise, there are a few in aclucdia that are cheap for pre club drinks if thats your scene... the clubs in acludia are again full of sixteen year olds.

Menta is good though, with a more mized crowd 18-35's, with foam parties, a pool and you can get away from the england towel hangers.

Back to the hotel, our room stank of smoke as soon as it was entered, the pillow stank of wet fags too, so was changed and the room was 'freshened' although the smell still lingered for a few days. The room otherwise was clean and tidy, and the hotel was always clean so thumbs up there.

Pool was overcrowded, sunbeds were impossible to get, and if you did, you were packed in like sardines, not nice. Go to the beach - much nicer, two beds will cost about 7 euro.

On site shop was good.. as was the pizza place,pinsburger bar was cheap for burgers if thats your scene..

internet access was tempremental but fast if working.

to sum up, good for a cheap week if you want sun, or have kids - and there are loads of them there. otherwise I'd steer clear.

Got to agree with Simon on this one...the supermarket i thought was excellent, if only the rooms were as clean! They were dirty (we had 2) full of hairs on the floor & balconies & grease from cooking, what

The hotel is much better than most people are giving it credit for. It is clean and well looked after. The staff are friendly and helpful but just dont always understand what you are saying.
The Airtours staff are welcoming to everyone (look out for phill!) and they are amazing with the kids, entertainment is on day and night and for adults aswll as kids.
The pool does get full but it just adds to the atmosphere, it isnt unbearable it is just nice. Watch out for the lifeguard though who may just pop up next to you any second, hes a swimmer and it shows!(if you no what i mean!) The water is checked at least 3 times a day in all three pools, so no probs there.
THe air conditioning in the rooms will turn itself off whenever you open one of the balcony doors so beware of that, dont think its broken! Maid service is good if you consider how many rooms there is to clean and they are all very friendly.
The only negative thing i can think of at the moment is that the key cards to our room kept stopping working and you have to trail back to reception to have them fix it.
I would definetly go back without hesitation, top holiday!

Just returned from Alcudia Pins, and had one of the best holidays ever. Our room, like the rest of the hotel was spotless. Linen and towels changed every other day. Food was excellent - loads of salads, and choice of 4 or 5 meat/vegetarian. meat or fish cooked fresh on the griddle every evening and choice of kiddies meals. Plenty fresh fruit and ice creams. Pool area can be a bit busy, but again spotless with regular samples taken from pool. Airtours entertainment staff were all lovely, and worked extremely hard. Pool is not deep enough to have a good swim - but glorious beach only yards away, and very safe bathing. Have to wade out quite a distance to get out of your depth. A really good base for a family holiday.

I have been to the Alcudia Pins 3 times already and I am looking forward to next years visit. My family and I love the place, which we find extremely delightful, hence the reason for the frequent returns.

The Spanish are the friendliest bunch of people you could imagine, even after one single visit the busy waiters and staff remembered us so we received complementary wine and free ice creams. My dad even got neck messages from the waiters who themselves were exhausted.

The hotel itself brings a special moment to every day, with its exciting pool, beautiful and super beach, great facilities and extraordinary service and effort.

The hotel cleaners work non-stop to keep the place nice, even though 5 minutes later us Brits have ruined everything.

I found the apartments tremendously clean, with beds and towels changed every other day. Throughout my two weeks I only found one dragon fly in my room, which swept in by the fresh costal wind.

I was self catering, mainly because we find the restaurants perfect, which trust me does not mean chips all the time as there is a wide variety of culture and food.

A brilliant day is completed with a cool drink on the lovely hot days whilst watching a different entertainment every night. Some might complain at one or two performances but you cannot please all of us usually moody Brits. I know I did not particually enjoy ladies night but this gave me greater chances to explore and gain interests in the unbelievable amount of things to do.

airtours sold us this hotel as 4a,not what we were expecting.the food was very low quality & not always cooked enough or too much.now once we found the hotel next door ,the playa garden,we had found what we were looking for.excellent entertainment lovely food & no charge for kids eating at the buffet if the parents did.the alcudia pins could do all this if airtours didin,t allow corners to be cut.never met our rep as we hired a car from the airport.goodbye to Andy the best of the entertainment team,your loss Airtours

we were self catering but all hotel staff were helpful and reps did a great job. although not in main alcudia resort, bus right outside

was very happy with our stay. room was cleaned and fresh towels every other day. pool area and beach was brill. right next door to beach which was cleaned every night. entertainment of a night time was great for adults and children.

will be booking again for next year

We were very plesantly surprisd when we arrived as we were expecting dingy and dram but it was only a room, so , imagine our surprise when we discovered that our room was spacious, clean and attractive with all crockery, cutlery, pots pans and the like that we could imagine needing. The location as on the beach PERFECT and the town was only a short bus ride or taxi away so you can just dip in and out and take a break whenever you needed. The staff were always polite and helpful and the entertainment was fantastic especially the REEL2REAL show for both kids and adults. I am going back in about 8 weeks because i liked it so much!!!!!!!!! I would really like to get my hands on the Spin disco though and get the potential it has to show!!!!! I am also thinking about working here because it is such a friendly and nice environment.
