What a great place. No real gripes at all the only one really is the Sangria wasn't too good.
Rooms were brilliant had 1 cot and my son in the bedroom and me and the husband slept on the sofa beds in the lounge, was quite comfortable.

Kids loved the clubs had no problems getting them in and i waited until the queue went down (apart from at the beginning but too busy talking to realise the length of time waiting)

Bar man Miguel doesn't sleep (don't know if anyone else realised) he was in the pool bar in the morning, Top bar in the evening and clearing up at night.

If you have babies/toddlers you will soon make friend s walking them around the complex at night trying to get them to sleep.

Eating out you will find anything really and is only 5 minutes max walk to the beach front.
Used local transport and went to Inca market, a must for bargins, then went to Alcudia had no problems at all.

A holiday is what you make it so enjoy yourselves we did.

This hotel was great the cleanliness was wonderful the staff just cleaned all day long. Rooms were spacious and very well laid out with a seperate bedroom which we found great. The shower was very powerful as long as you showered before 6pm. Rooms cleaned 5 times a week with the towels changed every time you left them in the bath.

Tiny kitchette area but this didn't bother us because we were all inclusive. We were in block 4 facing the fields so it was nice and quiet which suited us, lovely balcony with clothes dryer on it.

The pool area was great too just not enough sunbeds unless you got down at 7am and stayed with your towel.

The staff in the hotel were great and spoke very good English, in fact, one girl started pouring my glass of Cava before I had asked by the end of the second week! The staff do seem to work 24 hours a day though!!??

The main restaurant was nice if a little repetitive after a while, poolside snack bar was good especailly for the kids, and as for all the free drinks and slush puppy type drinks for the kids they were great. The Italian restaurant was ok, service great but food a bit weird tasting we thought. The carribbean was quite good nice white wine and a varied choice although I had the same Pork steak and curry sauce with jacket potatoe both times.

The entertainment was very good kept the kids amused and us relaxed, all the reps were fab.

Powder blue performed in the sports bar every night and were quite good. The only down side really was there wasn't anywhere to have a good game of football and the childrens playground was for the smaller kids mine are 6 & 11. Kids clubs ok, my youngest son age 6 found the club a little boring but he was with 3 year olds which is a bit young for him, this will be better in high season as they seperate the ages better. My other son age 11 loved his wavelength club he played games did watersports raftbuilding and had a party.

I never queued just waited nearby with a glass in hand waiting for the queue to stop and always got a place.

The location of the hotel was great for the beach and town about 10mins walk although only problem was no public loos in Ca'n Picafort so had to return to hotel if needed the loo, though did find that a shop called Blau Blue had toilets so sneaked in there and went a few times.

Just have to mention the rep Hayley as I said I would she was very helpful when we had a slight problem with a trip she put everything right, hope her boss is reading this!

Overall it was a fabulous 2 weeks and would return although prob won't as we like to go somewhere different every year.

What a fantastic holiday complex. Hubby & I & two daughters. We went self catering & stayed in block 5, on 2nd floor & facing a very quiet road (bit disappointed but guess where the sun sets!) Rooms are very spacious, although kitchen area was very small & not very well lit. Cupboard under sink housed a bin with three sections - 1- general rubbish, 2- glass & 3-plastic. What a great idea. Utensils were nice & clean, but only four of each!! Why do they all do that?Wish we'd taken our own corkscrew & tin opener though as I had to admit defeat everytime, much to hubby's amusement.

Living room very large with double sofa & coffee table.
Big cupboard with plenty of space which also housed the TV - had 2 music channels which were very good -uninterupted, easy listening 24/7,& CNN news channel. Also a large wardrobe, semi circular dining table & phone.

Bedroom has two single beds which were very comfortable, bedside tables, dressing table & wardrobe which housed safe. There is a removable shelf in the safe so that you can fit more in. By doing this, we could fit daughters DVD player in, along with camera & passports etc. NB. Choose an easy to remember combination code.

Bathroom was fairly big - never used bath but shower was brilliant - curtain was too short & as the shower was so powerful, would cause it blow in on you & would stick to you. We found it easier to leave it open.

In between all rooms is a sink area with enormous mirror, which is a great idea. There is a small hairdryer attached to wall here & works automatically as you take it off the attachment - cuts out after 10 mins so would advise to use it on nearly dry hair.

We had the same maid the whole length of our holiday & she was an absolute sweetheart. Sunday & Wednesday were only days she didn't work - large bath towels & hand towels changed five times per week, but have to put in the bath if you want them changing. Maid also makes beds & cleans floor & mirrors. Bed linen was supposed to be changed twice per week, but I found it only happened when I asked her to. Maybe you were supposed to put these in the bath too.

Hotel was in a nice quiet location, with the shops, restaurants & beach about 10-15 mins walk away. Didn't always enjoy the walk back though, especially after a big meal. There is a zebra crossing on the main road but don't assume the traffic is going to stop for you & keep a grip on the young ones. It's like crossing a dual carriageway. Also watch the kerbs, very deep & as the paths are half the size of ours, you are forever having to step onto road to get passed other people.

There is an indoor pool, gym room, and launderette located down the stairs under reception area. Absolutely everywhere is tiled so you can imagine how slippy the steps are when swimmers are up & down them. There is a sign asking them not use the stairs as the exit but most ignored this. For the sake of safety, would suggest non-swimmers use the side door.

Gym room was small but well equipped and has brilliant air conditioning.

Launderette only has one washer & dryer between the whole of the complex & each wash lasts for 50 mins. They are also free, but I gave up after traipsing for a week.

Supermarket was well equipped, although could be very expensive. Can get extremely busy at times and only one till.

The hotel staff were very friendly & extremely helpful, although, apart from one, the receptionists speak very little english & we found this to be a little tough at times.

Entertainment is excellent, especially for kids. First Choice & In2action team are absolutely brilliant with the kids. Main entertainment doesn't start till 10.00 pm though, and a few children who were kept up didn't appreciate that.

Everything you read in the other reports is an accurate review of this resort, overall we really enjoyed it and would recomend it to others, however we did see a number of issues with health and safety that we told the reps and Hotel manager about.

1) My 11 month old baby boy was walking behind me leaving the dining room when the automatic doors closed on him and smacked him on his head. Reply from the Hotel Manager stated that he was walking too slowly!!!!

2) There are no barriers around some of the fountains outside reception and we witnessed one small child fall in. Reply from Hotel Manager stated that he shouldn't have been on the grass in the first place.

3) High chairs do not have a middle bar between the childs legs and are very upright, we witnessed one child slip forward through the gap making the whole chair topple forward trapping her on the floor with her head between her knees. Reply from Hotel Manager stated 'There is nothing wrong with the chairs'.

I have only mentioned the above points so you can very aware of them and should in no way put you off what is an above average resort with very good First Choice reps who do work very hard to entertain you.

We have just returned from the holiday village and both had a good time. The staff at the hotel and the reps were first class. The hotel was spotless and rooms were cleaned 5 out the 7 days.

The food was good, a bit repetitive even for a weeks visit, but we did use the buffet at lunch time also as the pool snack bar portions weren't upto much. Tried the Italian and were disappointed, wished we had just gone to the buffet that night. I ordered the lamb and it was just fat, I got about 2 mouthfuls of actual meat. We never tried the Carribean after being at the Italian as we heard differing views on it from other guests. I must say that the sweets at the buffet were great!

The entertainment team did a great job, their shows were better that the acts brought in. What work the first choice team put in, Dee and Spikey Mikey were fab! We went to the Pirates show which was superb and would highly highly recommend it!! We also went to the Sonamar show, which, in our opinion, was rubbish - what a waste of money.

The location is at the back of C'an Picafort, 10 min walk to the beach and about 20-25 minute walk to the marina where the market is held on Fridays. On the two trips we went on we were first pick up, which meant an extra 30-40 minutes going around all the hotels picking other guests up - then you had an hour to the shows. It was the coming back that was the worst as both shows had free drinks and there was no toilet on the bus!!

The main bad point of the resort is the sun loungers. The hotel say they have a policy of not reserving beds but this is not the case. They say towels will be lifted if they are on the beds before 9am, but we saw this happen only once. What we had to do, was go down about 8.30am and sit on one of the last beds (most of the beds are gone by then!)and wait until after 9am and then go for our breakfast. We were one of the few that actually sat on the beds until after 9am. The hotel really needs to address this.

Also, if you have decided on a select room. I wouldn't bother. There was no express check in, no slippers and no tea making facilities.

All in all, we had a good holiday - not the best hotel for a couple, great if you are a family. Thumbs upto First Choice!!

We travelled to the HVV on June 14th. We chose SC but found that the Village Viva was mainly geared for AI.
Couldn't pay cash for anything. So you had to either hand over your cridit card details or put 100e on your room card and keep topping up.(not too impressed !)

Everywhere was spotlessly clean (indoor & ouside areas). Cleaners always busy. Hotel reception staff were okay. But we didn't find them very helpful when we asked for directions to restaurants etc (same goes for FC reps too)I think they wanted you to stay on site all the time. Because of this we only found the area with the best places to eat on our last day.

The entertainment was typical holiday hotel stuff. The smaller children enjoyed it but my daughter (aged 14 going on 32)was bored with it and spent her time with a long face or on the internet.

Supermarket on site is handy but expensive. (but the man on the till doesn't like it if you go in near shutting time (6pm). Football coaching was much enjoyed by my son (age 9) but because he turned up on the second day 2 minutes late he missed out on the group photo which was presented to them, with a certificate.

He wasn't happy too impressed to get a photo that he wasn't on and for the sake of a couple of mintes you'd have thought they'd have waited for him. (I know we should be on time but we were on holiday and only 2 mins late!!)

He also went on the high ropes (cost 8 euro i think) and really enjoyed it. His rope got stuck on the leap of faith and he got very scared (not suprised it's very high) but I wss proud of him whe he overcame his fear, climbed to the top and jumped to the bar away from the platform.

If you are going soon, take your own sunbeds as vacant ones are as rare as hen's teeth. ( the crack of dawn brigade must get up v early !) The staff don't move the towels off as published.

Overall we had a great time....enjoy !!

The cleaning was very good in all area'a apart from the pool side toilets where regular visits were not made, the pool side area was also very slippery when wet.

The room view was facing onto a main road which had frequent road accidents, the kitchen area was very tight for space and poorly lit, the television had no childrens chanels, luckly we did bring are own DVD player, but I do wonder if this was a good idea, as part way through the holiday we were victims of a Burglary, we used the Safe at all times for all our valuables, but would you believe it they took the Safe out of the wall and took it out of the apartment over a 6ft fence. I believe they knew what was in the Safe (Inside Job) as the Safe weighed a ton. When reported to 1st Choice no real assistance and sent to Police!

Don't waste your money going fully inc. The Food was very Basic, Pool side food was a Joke. Too far from Beach & Restaurants across a mini version of the M25, no good for buggies etc! Staff had no time for you unless you were All Inc. Good Evening/Day entertainment.

I would not visit this Hotel again after the Burglary as this dampened the Holiday.

First impressions of the Viva are great. It is impressive and very clean. I think this hotel should be all inclusive. We upgraded every other day which made life easier. 35 euros per adult 10 per child for one day.

We found the breakfast and lunch better than the evening meal, as it was never 'special', but more of the same. It was a good way to try 'AI' would not go less than a 4 star if we did it again. The fact we had dodgy tums has probably put us off, although could have been water, pool, weather....

The location was ok but I prefer nearer the beach/restaurants.

The hotel staff were suspicious of us not wearing wristbands, even though we'd upgraded, we were only given a letter, very annoying to keep producing it for every drink etc. Why no bands?

The First Choice reps were great, Bugs Bunny reps and entertainment reps were too, working really hard and all hours. The kids disco was great for my 3 year old, shame it had to stop for the bingo every night.

We did have a lovely holiday although we found it a bit impersonal because it

We have just come back from a 2 week holiday here and are already planning next years return visit.

We thought the hotel was fantastic! Everywhere is clean and still being cleaned! The staff are friendly and very hardworking - someone mentioned the non-stop barman and they're right.

The buffet restaurant was a bit 'samey' but you had so much to pick from anyway it didn't matter. With AI, we also got 2 visits each to the Italian restaurant and the Caribbean grill, which were both waiter service and excellent. Forget walking into town after visiting them - you will be too stuffed!

The First Choice reps were very helpful and friendly and the entertainment team (especially the very lovely Spikey Mike and Dee) were brilliant and very hardworking. The In 2 Action kids reps were also great and really made it a good holiday for our 2 kids aged 11 and 9. There was always something happening for everyone.
