Got back this morning and we all thought the hotel was lovely. A lot of the interior is marble which does echo a bit when it gets too noisy but in general the hotel does have a rule on noise after 12 so it's not too bad.
Plenty to do, loved the archery although don't always trust the First Choice rep, she only had a basic idea how to hold a bow etc, the 2nd week we had a proper qualified instructor which was much more fun.

There are 2 swimming pools, the new one (over the road) was much better. It is part of the hotel but you have to cross a little road to get to it and some other amenities such as football, tennis and so on. The main pool by the hotel is freezing but the new pool seemed warmer, i think it catches the sun better and warms quicker. They are NOT heated pools though!

Food was great, plenty to chose from, loads and loads of choices and its not too greasy as has been said...well bacon and sausage usually is greasy!

We never used the reps, our children stayed with us so no comment, the other kids seem to like them enough. Didnt care much for the poolside coffee, far too frothy, you get about 3 mouthfuls of proper coffee at most and don't have ice in the cold drinks! If you do take the ice out and see how much drink you actually have!

We loved it though, it's a nice walk to the town, beach is lovely. Try Port-de-Pollenca though, very cheap on the crowded bus going (not on the way back though as the terminal is by Pollenca beach so you are usually first on!) The beach there is goergeous, worth the trip.

Taxis are cheap if a tad too fast for my liking, watch though as the hotel will give you a number for the taxi, and the local taxi company is called 123 so we kept waiting for 'taxi 7' or whatever and kept thinking the only taxi that arrived was 123!

Would reccomend it to anyone, just bear a few of the thoughts from me and other people and you cant go wrong.
And dont forget the bread rolld for the fish!

This hotel is lovely, about a 10min leisurly walk to the beach or they provide a courtesy bus.There are 2 pools of which one is over the road. The one over the road is better because there were less bugs here and it had a filter system around the edge, although the ground is rough and you need to wear shoes all the time. The rooms are clean and big. We stayed in a family room and there was enough room for the 5 of us. The food is varied and there is always something to eat. The staff were very friendly and good with the kids. The entertainment was good, the best was kids stars in their eyes and the worst was the hypnotist. I would visit the hotel again.

What can i say!! One of the best Holidays we've been on. The Garlic tablets were a great tip as hubby tends to get bitten a lot but only suffered when daft enough to play football on the grass surrounding the pool area. Having said that pool was great, generally stayed by the main pool, the one over the road a lot quieter though. Both pool bars really good value and couldn't fault the staff.
Food was great....have never seen so many different deserts. Although the kids choice could be a bit hit and miss at times but overall really impressed.
Room was good, had the 4th put-you up bed but still roomy. Air con good too.
The main hotel entertaint chap called Fabien was fantastic, very funny and great with the kids. All entertainment finished by 12am which was just about right.
My two kids (aged 9 and 11) went into Wavelength and loved it, Joe, Helen and Ryan were great, Lilo races in the pool and lots of excursions to keep the kids from getting bored.
Have just booked to go back next year.

There was plenty to do for the children staff where great, the room was cleaned everyday.

The pool was clean and there were plenty of places to get yourself a sun bed.

The food was good but not a good selection for the children unless they like chips.

All in all we had a great holiday and would go back again

we stayed in the Lagotel. It was an excellent holiday everyone was friendly and welcoming. the reps were always there when you needed them. The entertainers who worked for the hotel were excellent couldnt ask for more. The rooms were lovely. Food ok bit of the same thing and very greesy but other than that no complaints. walk into town is about 5 - 10 minutes and its a nice walk. the beach is beatiful you can see the fish its that clear. we have already got our broche to go back.

just need to mention the excellent reps Kat and Hayley were top class an absolute credit to the company!

The Kids reps were just as good special mention to Krazy Katie and Marvellous Marc both fab well so were all the others but forgot there names sorry!

Stayed here in October and the weather was awful so we never went near the pool. The area is pretty dire and its a long walk to find anything.

The coach journey when arriving took ages and the kids had had enough, the hotel though was first class and all the staff from the maids to the reps were fantastic the nicest people we have met and this would be the reason wed go back.

Entertainment for everyone was brilliant. Beware nightime when all the teenagers start playing on the go carts though the noise was awful and it spoiled it for us.

Should have better security at night to stop this happening or move the carts away when its dark. If you want a good friendly hotel then stay here but take ear muffs for the nightime.

Wish we had gone in the summer for the weather but the noise levels could have been even worse.

If noise doesnt bother you then book as its a great hotel

hotel brill rooms very clean and tidy food was good and menu was varied.wasnt a great problem with mozzies.we took garlic and didnt get bitten.

now the down side first choice

the reps are a load of rubbish,all there intrested in is selling there over priced trips ( use the company next to burger king on the front street - half as cheap and better tours!)
the only time you see the reps around the resort is for the welcome meetings ,at meal times and when there going out.
if your planning to hire any baby eqpt or buggies dont .they either havn`t got any or there in poor condition. roll on jmc and turkey next year

We have stayed in the Lagotel in Alcudia for two years running.

We found it to be everything we wanted in a holiday. The first year we did go off to the beach more but the second year stayed more by the pool.

My husband took an interest in fishing in the lake outside the hotel.

The staff and food were brilliant and I stay there again if we were to go back Alcudia.

i went to the lagotel last aug and it was the best ever the reps were so nice, and the maids always did a good job! located just 5 mins in a taxi away from alcudia. there could be more entertainment for teenagers though. i was even crying on the way home this year i'm going for 2weeks!!! cant wait!!!
