We travelled to Alcudia in June and I think we chose the best hotel in the area. The food was excellent with something for everyone. Salad,freshly prepared meat (different every night),Pasta and chips for kids (although I had meat or spaghetti most nights).
The location was fabulous with a beautiful lake with ducklings and geese. The beach was about 5-10 minutes walk away,although the hotel provided a free bus every 20 minutes. There was a long stretch of shops next to the beach and just a short bus ride away was Puerta Pollensa with more shops and a fantastic beach.
The hotel was absolutely spotless with friendly maids and cleaners and a beautiful seating area at the end of each corridor. My only complaint is that as the hotel is open plan noise levels can get quite high at night or in the morning.
Our room was a family room with a seperate childrens bedroom and a sofa . The room over looked the lake and what a view! I would recommened you prebook a family room especially if you have older children as it gives them and you more privacy. At no extra cost it is definately worth it.
The entertainment was great with a childrens disco 8pm-9pm and Bingo from 9:30. Then at 10pm came entertainment with tribute bands and magic shows. The bar staff were great especially Willie who kept us all entertained with his antics.
I didnt sample the hotel pool as the pools across the road are less busy and a lot nicer. There are also tennis courts and mini golf as well as squash facilities and a football pitch.
Over all I would definately go back and really recommened it. Ciao

I stayed in the Lagotel again this year. Second year in a row.
If your looking for a family hoilday,with facilities for all the family,then the Lagotel is perfect.
There was lots of children of all ages,and even my daughters of 16,had a wonderfull time, and were not happy leaving.
There can be a bit of noise at night from all the teenagers,but the staff and security keep that at bay.shops and resterents are only mintues away in a taxi.
The Lagotel is at a perfect location,its near the town center and the beach but it is a quite area with peaceful surroundings. The reps were lovely and friendly.
With games going on in the main pool during the day, and a kiddies disco at night that was fun and enjoyable for the children.
The Lagotel overall was absolutely fantastic, and I will be definitaely going back this yearr.

The Lagotel is very clean, with good service. Was very impressed when we arrived as it was around midnight, and once we'd been given our room numbers, were told by the manager that if we wanted to go to the dining room once we had put our cases in room there was some food for us....This was salad, ham, cheese, bread, and a couple of desserts. We have just come home from Lagotel where 11 of us stayed age 4 to 49.
The hotel was spotless the maid service was excellent the staff were more than friendly always making a fuss of the kids.
Location is not brilliant but only 5 min walk to beach or shops.
Entertainment was different every night although up to 10 it was the same more for the younger kid

Food: Was excellent. Lots of choice & seperate Childrens dinner avalible. The afters were gorgeous & had something differant evey night.
The Hotel itself & swimming pools, gardens etc were spotless. Maid came everyday except sundays.
We stayed for 2 weeks, the 1st week the entertainment was inside & had Kiddies Disco at 8pm which they all loved. Bingo at 9.15pm which we won once :-) At 10pm was evening show different show every night the 2weeks we were there. 2nd week the entertainment was moved to outside.
As nothing on in main bar the lovely Fabien & Richard were more than happy to put on Big Brother 6 for me to watch :-) while children watched show outside.
The swimming pools were great for the children although we used the 3 over the road as less crowded & always lounges available. Water was warmer also.
Must say after reading reports on this site was worried about mosquitoes but came home with only four bites between us all.

First impression of the hotel was of a well run and clean appearance, of good effect was the bananas growing in the foyer up to the mid floors.
The hotel food was five stars even considering that the hotel was only three stars the effort was nothing short of excellent, even though the breakfast could have been a bit less fatty i.e. the bacon was more fat than bacon.
If you get a room at the back of the wetlands reserve, beware of a smell of sewage from the balcony early in the morning but after morning it

This Hotel was clean and some of the staff were friendly especially in the restaurant.
The food was practically the same each night and I found myself only having a piece from the carvery. The rest of the family including the kids found it ideal.
The location was a bit disappointing with having to either take the hotel bus or walk to the beach or shops which was okay going but not coming back with kids wanting to be carried and the bus not operating after 16.30.
Entertainment was woeful, the same mini disco with the same songs every night at 8.30 a bit late for little kids and all the while loud music playing, stopping only when the bingo was on and the caller made that a nightmare though I did win.
Children were left to run about the place without supervision in the bar all night, we did not use the in house bar after suffering for a few nights and went to the nearest bar (a good 5 to 10 minutes walk) for our entertainment.

Having stayed at this hotel on 2 previous occasions I did not think it could be any better.
There was entertainment every night except one when the hotel reps put on a show (I have been to lots of other hotels and never had as much varied entertainment.) The hynotist was particulary good. Bingo might not be everybody's cup of tea but why not try it you are on holiday and you might just win. We did twice!
The food was as good as if not better than previous occasions - something for everybody.

October 2004 was the fourth time we have stayed at this hotel. We have asked for and been given the same room each time.
We found the hotel exceptionally clean with the staff some of the friendliest we have come across. Our room each time was clean, tidy and comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the plastic sheets under the bed, for the benefit of the incontinent or over drunk guests I have no doubt. Anyway we removed these on the first day and our wish was respected throughout each holiday in that they were not replaced.
The food was good although very greasy and not much variety each day but the restaurant staff were extremely friendy and after the second visit got to know us better, wasting no time in clearing our table and being very helpful if we had a query. The same applied with the reception staff. Fell over themselves to assist where they could.
Athough the location is a little way from the main shops, the nearest shopping complex was only about 10 minutes slow, level walk, and the hotel shop was well stocked with reasonable prices.
Although we didn't bother too much with the night life, it was always lively and if there was a visiting performance we always watched. Drink was good and inexpensive.
The pool and poolside accommodation was out of this world, with one pool in the complex and a larger one across the road. Both A1 as far as we were concerned.
We hired a car which was inexpensive. On our departure, reception staff obligingly kept the car key until collected by the hire company.
In all, apart from lack of variety in the food, we cannot fault this hotel If there was a ten point system, I would give it 11. We are going somewhere else this year but next year we will be back knowing that we will be well looked after.

Our stay at the Lagotel was the most enjoyable holiday ever. We have no complaints apart from the location was a bit on the down side.
This is our 4th visit and was the best.
The staff at the Lagotel were absolutely brilliant. They are funny, helpful and definitely know their stuff. One member of staff we really liked was a receptionist and we think he was called Pasco but we are not sure.
We would recommend this hotel to lively and happy families that enjoy a good laugh.
