The hotel Diana is on the promenade at Tossa de Mar and also backing onto the main Square. It was a weekend residance for collegues of Antonio Gaudi and was built in the Gaudi style. It is now a listed building. It is really beautiful inside and you can eat your breakfast in the lovely courtyard. There is nothing touristy about it. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the staff are excellent and speak English.
We have stayed there for the past nine years. The food is excellent, and the cafe bar at the front of the hotel is one of the most popular bars in Tosssa de Mar as it is facing the Vila Vela.
We will be going again this september and it goes without saying that the standard will be high. Although only 2 stars, this is because there is no swimming pool or entertainment package etc. If you want a totally Spanish holiday this is the hotel for you.
