Portabello apartments was brilliant. I am really missing ozzie because I liked him really much. And i'm missing angel too but I don't know the other 2 girls names.

As I am a child I liked the water slides very much and I always joined in with the 3 club dances.I enjoyed them so much that I even bought the CD!

I think the entertainment was brill because I like the brake dancers and the fire show. There was also a kidz zone for me with Donna, Lucy, Momo and Sarah.

I went in that too. Rooms very nice we were put in new block l 309. It was very nice. Cleaners came in every day.We got the first toilet roll free but had to buy second and more.

Reps were very helpful serdar and carol.

I recommend 'amigos paradise' as a great restaurant. Exept waiters can be a bit annoying.

the hotel was nice that all i can say to be honest

We stayed in the Portobello apartments in Marmaris Turkey and it is the most filthy disgusting hole I have ever stayed in in my life.

Our bathroom had mold growing all up the shower walls, mold on the kitchen surfaces, there were plug sockets hanging off the wall. The couches were ripped and filthy there was a cot in the hallway that was rusty and held together with tape, and round the pool there were manhole covers with gaps between the grills of at least an inch, which kids could easily get there feet caught in.

If any body reads this please take note.

Just got back today from the Portabello,the room we had was basic but very clean the cleaner was there every day so cant fault the rooms really.

The pools were fantastic for the yuong and not so young,with the water slides and pool games. Entertainment during the day was good for the younger kids as there was a kids club to ocupy them for a few hours each day.

As far as sunbeds go what a laugh,if you didnt have a towel out by 8am or didnt fall asleep on the beds from the night before forget it.

Overall a great place planning next years hols here.

We Arrived At About 5pm in the evening and got taken to our room which was in the old block top floor it was a tiering walk to get up to our room everyday.

The rooms were really basic but you are only in them to sleep and to get ready. We Had really nice maids who cleaned our room everyday.

The hotel food was fine. The location was good 5 minute walk from Marmaris main street. The Hotel staff were nice.

The entertainment at the was o.k not the best though. The pools where really good with the slides great for children and the entertainment during the day was good!

I Would Visit this apartment in a minute!

We travelled in July with First Choice and stayed in the new H block. As the apartment was new it looked and felt very clean, with everything in the kitchen you could want.

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the pubs and the beach so in an excellent location.

We really enjoyed our holiday and would go back but only if guatanteed H block (booked as superior apartment with First Choice) - but some of the other apartments did look as if they could do with a bit of work doing on them.

After arriving at 7am we were taken to the old reception at the back of the complex. From here we were taken to block F, old block. On entering the room found it to be very small and dark for a family of 4. The light wasn't working in the bathroom and the only view we had was a tree. Having complained to reception we were told to wait for First Choice Rep. We were then told to upgrade room it would cost us

These apartments were the worst we ever stayed in.Toilet leaked every time it was flushed.Electric sockets hang off the wall.Mould on tiles filthy shower cubicle.

This was first apartment we got moved second apartment had pool view which was a bit better but toilet cistern was hanging off the wall, shower door had a large hole in it and was cracked which meant that everytime you showered you flooded the floor.

Balcony door hanging off hinges. No toaster or kettle in a self catering apartment. Ate alive by fleas. Bed clothes felt like sand paper. Although I was only there a week it was more than long enough in these apartments. Didn't get a sun lounger for whole week.

The shop was very expensive and very little variety. Be prepared to pay

Upon arrival we were very pleasantly surprised.

Our apartments consisted of 2 bedrooms 1 with en-suite and a very spacious living area with good facilities including a TV although there were only 3 English channels. We were situated on the ground floor. What was not explained was as we had two bedrooms we were to be charged double for air conditioning with this and a safety deposit box the bill was

Having read so many bad reports about the Portobello,I will admit I was apprehensive about staying.

We arrived in the early hours,and our first impressions were good. We had booked 12 months in advance via the internet and chose the superior room option,which if booked with First Choice,H block will be your location.

These apartments are as good as any I have stayed in and well worth the money. On the other hand I did hear mixed views about the older block used by First Choice,I cannot comment on those rooms as I did not take a look,but just to add, Thomson clients complained also.

Sometimes the comunication barrier between staff and guests was at times funny especially on the small pool bar,in the evening our barman Kenan was about the best barman there was. Also there were minor scuffles between bar and resturant staff and their managers,some better barstaff were dismissed, maybe this should have been done behind closed doors and not around the busy pool area with the children playing.

The food was very average but much improved on previous visits to Turkey I will recommend the "Aloha" restaraunt for bang on meals, plus Macdonalds is just up the road.

Members of our party and other guests were coming down with colds,sore throats and ear infections and one even had an ear bleeding,we all agreed that germs from the pools was to blame , First Choice and Thomsons should seriously look into the hotels cleaning methods.

This is the first time my family have suffered with illnesses after several holidays abroad this would seriously jepodise any futher bookings to this complex.

Just to cap off the minus points there was a chaotic last night to be had when a fire in a block basement at approx 3am had guest massing out side their blocks in whatever they could put on,while they have probably not had this situation before they must address the chaotic scenes and lack of info been passed around for any future emergencies.

Overall we had a very good time in the Portobello where our children were seen but not heard ,the evening entertainment teams kept them busy and happy ..great!!

Dont let the bad things put you off the good things just about outweighed the bad have fun and take plenty of money
