Am going to Majorca second week of May
and wanted to know where the bars and clubs are if any. Even though have been here several times before, have never had the chance to venture out of the complex much at nightimes (kids!! 
LOL) Am lucky enough this time to have a sitter so where are these places- surely there are some.Thanks for Any Help you can give!

Bars/clubs - Alcudia. Most of these are located in the Magic and Ciudad Blanca areas. In Magic, there is the Magic Center - several bars and disco - and Menta Disco close by as well as music bars near to the Delfin Azul Hotel. In Ciudad Blanca, along and off Avenue Pedro Mas y Reus, there are many bars plus Bells Disco. Magic and Ciudad Blanca are pretty close to each other, so you can bar/club hop without any problem and till very late - 6 or 7 in the morning where Menta or Bells are concerned.

hi all im off to alcudia on 23 may just wondering is there a mozzy problem at this time of year ive been before but that was sept/oct

we're going to alcudia on the 23 May as well - staying at jupiter hotel. Have heard that the mozzies are bad all summer. We're taking plenty of repellent with us. Its best buying it over here before you go, you'll find it will be muh dearer there.

We are going this saturday, the wife is normaly the one who gets bad mozzie bites and she has been taking vitamin b for a few weeks ( this seems to help). Another idea is not to hang around the various lakes in alcudia as these are breeding grounds for the mozzies.
We have been to Mojacar a few years ago and it had a big problem with Mozzies. Boots Soltan range of suncream and after sun comes with insect repellant and we found it great. People all round us were being attacked and they didnt come near us. If you buy it make sure you get the one with the insect on it.
I am staying at the Port area of Alcudia at the end of the June, would the mozzies still be bad around that area?
We went in sept 2004 and did not see any mozzies even around the jupiter hotel lakes. Which are said to be really bad..
We always stay at the Port and unfortunately the mosquitos up there love me. One particular holiday I counted 27 bites in total!! Last year I used the Avon dry oil spray, woodland fresh I think it was called, this came recommended by golfers and really does the trick.

the mozzies usually have a 3 course meal from my mum
but last year they didn't even get a small snack 
did not even see or hear from anybody that had been attacked by these pests ( i don't know if we was just lucky or it was the time of year or we was just in the right place at the right time!!!!!!!! )

We will be staying at the Delfin Azul for two weeks and I was wondering where the best shops are. Last time we stayed there (3 years ago) the only shops we found were right out of hotel then right again - mostly spars and bars. I have read on this site that there are shops in Alcudia bay - can anyone advise how we get there? Also, how do we get the the old town? i.e. which direction is it in?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi, just wanted some information on good restaurants in the alcudia area,as in good food and value for money.also if anyone nos some cheap supermarkets also in the alcudia area as i hear the place is a bit of a rip off!!i appreciate all replies-thank u!!
hi pugman. if you come out of your hotel and walk to the beach turn left and walk along the beach path all the way to the port there are quite a few shops down there. the port area is lovely. i think if you were going to the old town you would need to take a bus as it is quite a way unless you are feeling fit. the market is held in the old town on sundays and tuesdays.have a great holiday.
