Just learned that the ABV closed it's doors yesterday due to the financial woes of owners Almond resorts. Having already had to shed their two resorts in St Lucia they've now had to close the ABV, leaving only the Casuarina and Beach Club left in the chain.

The ABV is a large west coast resort and had long needed a huge financial injection for renovation, but it could be a lovely property and I do hope someone buys it and restores it to it's former glory.

Someone like Sandals/Beaches could really work some magic on it and they could do with a Barbados resort.
