Stayed there for a week in March. Smoking was permitted in the rooms and at the tables beside the pool but not within the hotel areas.
We particularly enjoyed eating at Michaelangelos which is opposite the hotel entrance and also at Sugar and Spice (come out of hotel entrance and turn left, walk down street at amusement arcade turn left and the restaurant is along there under the Los Cordones apartments. Not sure how much a safe is as we did not hire one.

Just got back on Tuesday
90% of hotel was young and lively
Block 2 is wall to wall teenagers.We were in block 1 overlooking the pool
We had 2 teenage couples above us 3 girls to one side and 4 lads on the other side of us who came home every morning between 4 and 6 am.....yes they were noisy but we took ear plugs to combat it.....so it wasn't so bad,I felt sorry for those who didn't.
The rooms were meant to be for 4 (1 bed appt)but the bedroom was the smallest I've ever been in.with the 2 beds pushed together...if OH and I lay side by side and put out an arm we could both touch the wall at opposite sides.....I'd say the room was 6'x7' at the most.OH could get a bed side table on his side.....I couldn't get one on my side...there wasn't room.....and there was only about 8'' from the bottom of the bed to the wall.My daughter sleeps in the boxroom at home and it's bigger than the bedroom we had at the Columbus.
Hotel complex was great and rooms at hotel it'self were clean an spacious
I would go back but not in July and I'd upgrade to a superior room

Hi, i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me please?

My friend and i have just booked a week s/c to the aparthotel columbus going on 18th august, next week.

However, we are slightly worried just us two going, we are both 19years, but sensible. Do you think we will be safe and more so have fun with just two of us? Are the other holiday makers friendly?

I am also getting worried by the amount of negative comments and reviews i am reading!

Please help!!

Cant say about the hotel,
But i used to go tenerife with my mates some times just 2 of us and we had a great time you get chatting to loads of people in the bars and clubs you will enjoy dont worry.
As for the saftey of two girls just the same as if you went out here i would say be sensible dont leave each other and you will be fine.

My daughter stayed here last year and loved it.

It isn't far from the nightlife. And there are some nice restaurants nearby. And netto is just underneath.

Just by asking, implies your sensible.
you two will have a great time. Your only a slow walk from the night life. (depending on what your looking for). Veronicas. (not for me) The patch (love it) and my fav, the strip.
You will have a fantastic time and make lots of friends.
just remember, its the same out there as it is here, don't get too much and don't leave your drink unattended.
And be up by eight to get that all important sun lounger booked. Because that's why your there for, to catch them rays.

hi my daughter and her boyfriend where at this hotel end of june and had a great time they said the entertainment in the hotel was ok so they stayed in there some nights
but there are some good bars nr to the casino come out of your hotel turn left and carry straigt on they are in front of the parc de la paz apartments
i would stay away from veronicas
but have a great holiday and just be sensible and and keep an eye on your drinks

Hi, i wasondering if anyone would be able to help me please? I am going to the aarthotel columbus next week with a friend, we are both 19 years and staying for a week. When we booked the holiday we wanted somewhere lively however not to 'in your face' I know there is a hotel opposite with an 18-30.however i was wondering if our hotel is?

my 22 year old daughter stayed here last year and she loved it.

near to all the nightlife as well.

Stayed there for the fifth time this july. Loads of youngsters all over the hotel but wouldnt categorize it as 18-30. That time of year is always busier with younger people due to the prices going up during school holidays in August. Close enough to all the major nightlife but far enough away to not be affected by the crowds in Veronicas.

Be aware that the security in the Columbus is quite strict on behaviour of the younger set. They will not tolerate any disturbance at night time antwhere in the hotel complex. They also have security cameras dotted around the hotel and they are live all the time.

girls you will have a great time....... just be sensible, and stay away from and dodgy looking bars.... and dont walk home alone too late at night... taxis are very cheap and 2 a penny.....

hi, me and my husband are off to the columbus in september, and wondering how far it is into los cristianos.

It is not that far into Los Cristianos a nice walk in the evening along the geranium walk should take about fifteen twenty minutes then you can choose from a variety of restaurants or bars to have a drink or meal and then walk back to the Columbus.

If you go out and turn left and walk down as far as the roundabout there is a nice restaurant called Mama Rosas in at the Colon II apartments. There are also a few on the way down if you want the fast food type meal some good some not so good.

a nice walk in the evening along the geranium walk

It is only a 15 minute walk into Los Cris but NOT along Geranium Walk. This is much further away in the opposite direction and is near to the harbour in Puerto Colon. Particularly pleasant walk though
