what time of the year do you normaly go what is your favorite hotel we would like to go next march
First trip was June, it was very hot outside, too hot to sit by the pool I thought and I love hot! and I found the aircon was freezing inside everywhere, second trip was april and most of the time it was quite cool and breezy, last two trips have been Christmas time, 2007 was blue skys and cold most of the time, last Christmas it was grey, raining a few days and a whole day of snow, inside temperatures are comfortable then too. I enjoy going for Christmas the time leading up to it is a bit quieter, the hotel prices are very good and I like being away from here also.
We have stayed at MGM, large but good hotel, Bills which is a small casino, nice large clean rooms and it doesn't take long to walk out onto the strip. Mirage, not my favourite though the rooms have been renovated since we stayed and it has a lot of very good eating places cheaper and expensive but lots of people milling around 24/7. stayed at the Rio rooms a bit tatty but clean and the atmosphere is fun in the casino. The Palazzo suites are excellent (my favoutire rooms) not the best casino. The Venetian though its a lovely hotel our suite was dark and I thought it could have been a little bit cleaner and not the best casino.
I think May and September/October are ideal times as far as the weather goes, but to be honest there's so much to do we don't bother with the pool anyway.
Of course these are just my opinions but I have learnt not too judge the rooms on the casino and some of the cheaper casino's are more fun than some of the expensive ones, that said we like the Wynn casino but the room rates are usually a bit more than we would pay.
All in all I think anytime is a good time (avoid conventions), and all the hotels we have stayed in so far have been good in different ways, none that I wouldn't stay at again. I hope I can still say this after our next visit.
