What are prices like for buying cameras in India ?
Is it easy to get you SD camera card transfered to DVD disc, or do I need to buy some more SD cards to take with me ?

There are lots of photographic shops about that will transfer cards to cd

i used one in candolim two years ago transfered two cards with about 400 photos cost about 100 rupees (ish)

Last year we bought a 2gb memory card for our digital camera, it cost 35 pounds, which at the time was very very cheap, This was in Mumbai, you can now buy them on the internet for 23 pounds plus postage. Goa its self is not as far ahead as Mumbai, it has some camera's and computer parts, but they are not as far advanced as ours, maybe this is because, the broadband scenario is not as widespread as what it is in the UK.

Mumbai, it a bit more advanced, but they haven't reached the point where I would rely on going there to find what I wanted. The highest megapixel of camera we found was 4 but we bought in this country a 10 mega pixel for the price they wanted for the 4. and we were carrying it at the time, and they could not believe the price we had paid for it.
