BlackFox, I agree holidays are getting tougher to find that great deal. I don't know where people find all these bargains unless you aim for 1 week, plenty late deals out there for them (if lucky to not have pay supplements).
But search for Term Time 2 adults and 2 children, it's difficult. My kids are getting older now, hopefully be able to do some budget apartments and fend for yourself, but I would miss the AI basis, as I want to just relax when I'm away. After all is that not what you work hard for all year.

Hi beth 72, Yes your right I also will be on and off this forum between now and July checking for any updates and latest information being reported on people coming back from the CSR. Hope this year will be as good as last, I'm sure it will be. Hoping to see some of the staff from last year, they really did look after us.

Kelsey, have not heard anything about the beach partys so far this year, but I don't think they started up until July last year, so it may be around the same time this year. I know my daughter and her friend are hoping that is the case. Did you go last year?

10th July, 3 days after you (our second time, we were there same two weeks last year) We are three families going together and also have a Kelsey coming with us.

Any one know of any changes that have happen since last summer at the CSR, I have heard the bar is open in the evenings down by the beach this year. Hope this is true as I thought it was a waste being closed. Can anyone confirm.

I hope thats true about the bar. I also hope there are changes to the irish bar as there was't much happening at night.

we went in December for a week and had agreat time. Didnt see any parties on the beach but around the pool was excellent during the day. The staff were great but the reps had just about enogh at that time of year and werent very enthusiastic. Nevertheless we had a great time and didnt want to come home. We took my wifes niece and her boyfriend as their first trip abroad and they have booked again for the summer. Food was good and drinks very strong. Our only down side was that for the wife me and two girls (10 & 11) the rooms were a bit small. Dont get sucked in to going to the pyramids, very long day, spent majority of the day stopping off at local shops (I suppose the reps got a back hander) where the quality of the gold and paintings were crap (bought a bracelet and within a day the clasp had broke and obviously could not take back as we were going home shortly after) The pyramids were ok but then only had 20mins in the museum (the bit i was looking forward to)
The bedouin experience was great though, would recomend that one.

We are going again for our 4th time in August, kept an eye out on the website and just got what I think was a cancellation for the 14th, now I can let out a sigh of relief as got more or less what we wanted.

We are going to CSR in june, does anyone know if there are interconnecting rooms here as we have only just booked and were not given the option as it was classed as a late booking.
We have booked 2 rooms one of them will have our children in it. I am hoping they will put us next door otherwise it will be fun and games from the outset!!

What is the sunlounger situation like, do i have to rise early to secure ones around the pool?

Last question, what times are meal times as the rest of the family will not want to get up at 9.00 for breakfast.

When you email hotel ask for 2 of the interconnecting rooms near 1028 as we stayed in these rooms and they were right besided the main pool near to beach, so you didn't have far to go if you wanted to nip back to room and if it is busy you can open pation door and nip and put towel on sunbed.

Thank you for the info I will do as you all advise and email today. This will be the first time that our kids have been in a room on their own and I am worrying already about what they will get up to, so a ground floor room will be a definate bonus.

Any info on the meal times? I have heard that breakfast starts at 9.00, is this right?

Anyone got any recommendations regarding the pyramid trip? Coach versus flight?
