1st this isn't really a complaint, i'm more looking for a bit of advice but didn't know where to put it

this morning i was looking at my holiday booking, i'm going to benidorm to the sol melia hotel for 10 days july,

my friend asked me to look for the same hotel for her, but the week before, looked and my hotel is not available on any date,
rang cosmos young lad said, we've probably sold out, ok

just spent an hour and guess what the sol melia isn't available any dates flying from any airport, so i'm guessing that they are not doing it now, so i'm expecting a letter from them offering me alternative accommodation, and the other hotels in benidorm on offer are naff, but maybe they will still send me there although i doubt it.
the other 2 4* hotels are the palm beach and thee marina
both don't get that good reviews.
there are some 3* but i'm not to keen on these.

So am i able to change my destination but same date, like choose a hotel in the costa del sol, or greece.
