Discrepancies in Taxes

I have just been checking the Co-operative Travel site for a flight from Stansted to Monastir in October. Only Nouvelair Tunisie flies this route and it is used by both Airtours and Panorama. I realise that the companies set their own prices, but I am curious as to why Panorama quotes £269.00 Est.Tax: £72.10 and Airtours quotes £256.67 Est.Tax: £93.85. Can anyone explain why Airtours should take more tax than Panorama. Needless to say I shan't be booking for a while as prices always drop nearer the time but I should have thought the taxes would be the same in any case.

Taxes are always estimated and can vary. When I check flights for clients from the various consolidators, they can vary on the same day with the same scheduled airline! When booking, then the taxes get confirmed and you'd probably find both Airtours and Panorama would be the same. Looking on viewdata, taxes aren't shown - just fuel supplement and APD.
