please can you let us know where you book your holidays to sharm with. is it with travel agents or is it on the internet.

I think you will find we have people doing various things on here, I normally book through a standard agent like Thomas Cook, Thomson or Cosmos, but make the booking on their website. I like the security of a package as I just on the off chance there is a problem such as the Foreign Office forbidding travel to Egypt they will switch me to Tenerife, Cape Verde etc without a load of hassle.

On the other hand people do booK with the likes of travel republic or onthebeach to try and save a few hundered pounds which I can also understand, but I am too cautious to do that.

Others book easyjet or monarch flights etc and book direct with hotels like the Hilton, or with companys like booking.com. The advantage of the later is if you get in quick the flights can be an OKish price (but you have to pay up front), but you dont pay for the hotel until you check out, so can make budgeting a bit easier.

I do whatever is the cheapest way .. I find Egypt very easy to DIY but not so confient with a put together package with the likes of on the beach incase they go belly up.

We usually stay at the same hotel (hilton at sharks bay) so I will book the cheapest flights .. for the last couple of this has been easyjet and then book direct with the hilton . They will after a bit of toing and throwing match whatever the cheapest bed-booker price I get and into the bargain i get a flexible booking that I can cancel up to 24hrs before +not have to pay until checkout .

We are booked on EJ flights over Easter but I've yet to sort my accomodation out .

I booked the hotel (Sofitel) through ebookers and flights direct with Easyjet. You can book flights and hotel with ebookers.
