Although I've passed through Frankfurt many times, changed trains a couple and even flown right over the city centre I've never actually been to any pubs there. However my trusty German beer guide suggests these two in the centre for the best beer.

Both do food, the Goethehaus seems to be the more upmarket with Zwolf Apostel being the more traditional. Can't help on entertainment though but they'll get the night started!

In answer to my own post there are some good bars in this interesting city, please pm if your heading there, It comes well recommended as an alternative to the usual European destinations.
