Was wondering if it's worth you investigating La Manga Club in the Costa Calida Spain? We are going later this year and it will be the third year in a row for us.

You can fly to either Alicante (cheaper but about 90 min drive) or Murcia which I haven't used as is dearer, but I think it is close enough to get a private transfer or cabs to. You would need to research the location.

It is huge but beautifully landscaped, and has every kind of private villa and private apartment you could wish for. Might be possible for you to get two Villas in the same section of the resort close to each other as you are such a large party.

First two years I booked the whole lot, ie flight, accommodation and car hire with James Villas. This year I have booked a British Airways flight myself and just the acccommodation with James Villas. I think you could get the accommodation cheaper though if you booked privately.

We did this last year in FRance. Villa all the way. Pool to yourself, you can play games without worrying about upsetting other guests. You can eat cheaply and also pay supermarket prices for booze. Youngsters can be put to bed early and the adults can still be up just a few feet away in a secure environment. No need to co-ordinate everything like meal times etc. There will be days when peeople can go off and do their own thing as well.
