Hi, Just wondered if there was anywhere in CnB that has internet facilities?
Thanks for any replies
Hi, Chaplins bar down the marina, Legends bar, Titanic up near the lighthouse and various others. Maybe someone else could help you out a little more. I have been going here for 10 years now and have already booked for next year and i believe (but dont quote me) that there is an internet cafe also down the marina.

Hi Linsi, Thanks for the info. Sounds like there are enough so I need not worry. I only want to check the bank balance while I am away!!
Thanks
Thanks
No probs. But dont check the bank balance when you are away, just spend the money and face the consequences later. lol.

Yeah I know!! Scary but I have waited two years for this holiday - so sod it, I shall worry about it when I get back!! lol
We are staying at Roc Menorca Mar which is about 15 minutes walk from the marina, but we have a car so it is no problem. I think it is over the light house side but heading out of CnB. We are going on 26th and can't wait. I am hoping the weather is gonna stay hot for me!!

Hi,
We go July every year and last year we went again on September 27th for 10 days. The weather was glorious every day and it was more pleasant because there was a warm breeze. You will have a lovely time, if you can manage to forget about your bank balance. lol.

Hi Linsi,
So glad you had nice weather when you went in late September, puts my mind at rest as I was concerned when I booked it would not be warm enough!. As you went in July this year can you tell me how much spends you took with you? I am slightly worried what with the poor euro!
Probably get told of now for going of topic!!

We took quite a bit of money with us, in fact the same as we take every year but this year we brought a lot back with us. I didnt even cash my travellers cheques. The reasonable places to eat were, the Chinese next to the band stand down the marina, they have set menus, La Fontana (but dont order house wine, very expensive, Las Tapas (wine very cheap), La Oca (Lauras bar) up near the Titanic (she does a 3 course set menu, but we did find Ciutadella cheaper drinking. If you can stick to the house wine as the beer and lager is much the same as it is here.
linsi (totally off topic now, soz).

Hi Linsi, Yeah I think we will be fine. House wine is fine with me - well any wine to be honest!!
Thanks for all your advise. I think you can still have a good time on half decent budget!

Hi,
I am sure you will have a great time, we are back there in oct and hoping for good weather, i found the drinks to be expensive or should i say about the same as you pay here at home if the house wine is cheap but hard to drink try coke or tonic in it thats if its red you are drinking it makes a nice long drink. i know it sounds yuk but give it ago you might be pleasantly surprised.
Enjoy.

Pip, OMG where on earth did you hear of that mixture, but the OH prefers red wine so will definitely give it a go cos red wine has suddenly started giving me a massive hangover complete with river dance going on in my head the day after (probably should stick to drinking just one bottle).lol

Oops soz Kath, knew it was just a matter of time. But we use the internet facilities in CnB marina whilst we are drinking the red wine and coke.

I also discovered there is Wi-Fi access at the Deportivo in the marina, it's some kind of sailing club but you can pay per day or week to get a code to use for wi-fi. I found it cheaper than paying to use net cafe's.
It's just up a slope between 2 restaurants in the marina, I think it's next to the italian place next to Fiesta (or in that area anyway!).
It may be of use to someone if any other sad people have to keep a check on work while they're away too!

Can I bump this for 2009
Going to Calan Bosch in August with a 15 year old who will be lost without internet for two weeks. Any recent additions to those internet facilities already mentioned ?
thanks
Steve
