you have to take them 1 week before you go to goa.
and 4 weeks when you come home if you go for 3weeks

i was told to try brennanspharmacy.co.uk i went online yesterday and they are in the post to me now. should get them tomorrow or monday
I spoke to the Practice Nurse yeaterday, she advised we got Rabies Jabs? Never been told this before.. she also said I'd have to pay for them and they come in 3 stages. Also Japanese encephalitis?

Hi if you mean those little ones with a bottle that you plug in....yes all the shops have them, we paid about 45 rups for the machine and refill in Newtons.

Seeing the above I went online to order my anti malarials but when it came to payment I was warned it wasn't a secure site. I decided to use the Paypal option as that was safe only to be told by Paypal that they went taking money from this site.
I decided to use Travelpharm as mentioned in a previous post and that appears 100% safe, and also asked for more information about my health as a safety check before sending the tablets.
Brennans would have cost £22.50 ( approx)
Travelpharm £26.00 inc 1st class postage
Local Boots wanted £37.98
Happy to save £12.00
Worth going online but as always.... be careful ! I'd hate to have my card details cloned, especially when I am due out of the country for a month and there would be no way of knowing until I got back !

I always use Travelpharm to buy our Malarone from and never had a problem with them, and always receive them in the post 2 or 3 days after my order. Hubby is diabetic and on 2 different types of Insulin and they phoned to doublecheck his medication, which I think is a great service from Travelpharm. Just wanted to reassure you they are safe.

I've used Travelpharm as well and they are reliable. We needed Malarone when we were going to South America and the Dr at the travel clinic recommended Travelpharm.

My head is bursting going through this Malaria thread 
can someone please tell me would I be right in saying that the tablets I bought in Goa are taken like this ..
(The chloroquine..Phosphate tablet ) I take once a week and
(The Progwin 100..Proguanil.tablets )I take two a day of that one ...thanks Colleen

Hi IC,if the chloroquine ars 500mg,then it is 1 a week,if 250mg then 2 a week.
The proguinal are usually 100mg,so yes,2 a day is right. Paula

Thanks for getting back to me so quick M M yes they are 500mg just had a look at the pack so it is 1 a week of the P/C one and two a day of the Progwin ..thanks for your help. that makes me feel a whole lot better ..colleen
