Planning to go Maldives first time next year. Anyone help with the following :-
1) Does any company do 10 nights direct flights to Male, most seem to fly to middle east then change for flights to Male is this the norm?
2) Best AI hotel/resort within speedboat distance of Male?
3) Love the beach, swimming etc but I think will I get bored just doing this? Are there trips excursions available?

Try Marks travel they are pretty good at sorting out what you want.
Thomson, sri lankan, and BA do direct flights to Male. (but I think all of these are 2 weeks)
Lots of excursions usually available, for example snorkelling, local islands, island hopping, whale/manta trip, deep sea fishing, sunset cruise, robinson crusoe islands.
But to be honest, we don't do many trips and the days never seem long enough to fit everything in
We are going to Vilamendhoo on sunday, I can't help you on resorts close to male as we have only been by sea plane, an experience I would highly recommend
