i also am a large lady, but when i go on holiday i dont worry bout putting a size 18 bikini on! i must admit though that i always have a spray on tan done before i go, makes me feel a lot more confident and have noticed that i dont get hassled by the entertainment team to join in with activities as much . So dont worry bout your size, relax, enjoy, and have a great holiday

mel, does the spray tanning involve someone else doing it or do you simply stand in front of a machine? Can you recommend somewhere in particular? Also, I have heard that chlorine from the pool strips away fake tan. Is this true?

Shazzaz... what is leg magic???? Think I may have missed a post or two here... I have just got out my 'holiday wardrobe' to find that nothing fits from last year. I have stopped smoking in the last six months and find I have piled on a stone and a half without eating any more!!!! I suppose its an excuse to buy a new wardrobe!!!!! Have been to the local charity shop and come home with three different exercise videos... pretty ancient but not bad at all. Hope to lose at least a stone and a half before I go - thats in five weeks time!

I agree though with the fake tan before you go, it definitely makes you feel better as well as look better! I got boots one this year, cream, but I think they have changed the formula, its really streaky and very, very dark. I have just had a very bad bout of ezcema which has recently passed the 'itchy' stage, so cannot exfoliate before applying the fake tan, so maybe thats why it looks so bad! At least I am not reacting to the product though. Find the Johnstons type gradual tan non effective. Just getting a happy medium.

I have just lost 6 stone and cant wait to fit into my seat on plane and put the tray down i still want to loss another few stone so if people think i am fat on the beach let them think it i will still have a great time with my dearly hubby

I'm off back to Egypt on Monday but I expect I'll have the 'faulty' meal tray that doesn't go down properly yet again

i have to buy all new clothes for my holiday down from a size 30 to a size 16 loads of money

I have about 5 stone to lose and although I know this isnt possible before May I would love to have a good try but its only coming off at about half a pound to a pound a week so wish it was coming off quicker otherwise I will be wearing my dull black swimsuit again

I am a large lady but my attitude is if people have nothing better to do than look at me while on holiday I feel sorry for them! Get out there and flaunt what you have got- I love bright colours and just cover up with a coordinating sarong while walking around the pool. There will always be rude people wherever you go- live your life!

this isnt a dieting forum but tracey as you asked i can tell you i lost mine with atkins good luck with however you decide to lose weight and enjoy your holiday

i am an overweigt lady in my late forties and went to egypt for the 3rd time recently with 2 female friends who i hate to say are both young pretty girls. They received no male attention much to thier disgust whereas i was like a man magnet, not sure why but it certainly helped when haggling in the shops of sharm, go, enjoy and be confident, you will love it

Why was it that my post was deleted.If it is ok for people to say well you ARE overweight but just go and enjoy, then why was my point of why not lose some weight and maybe enjoy it that little bit more,wrong??
