When he was left with one intruder armed with a screwdriver and the second one was on the way upstairs where the wife was, he must have been absolutely terrified. I know the arrest has to be made but I hope his ordeal is over very quickly.
No doubt the burglar's family will be suing for loss of earnings...
Doubt there'd be a charge in the USA.
I think it's awful. I'd be so frightened if confronted by a burglar that, if I couldn't lock myself into a room I wouldn't stop hitting them until they couldn't get up. So could be me being charged.

He has been bailed. I hope he is getting support.
As for the other burglar- he just dumped his friend and left him to die. Let's hope there is karma.
