Im thinking of organising a short ski break to france, going on the Ferry and driving to resort but I want to do as little driving as possible in France.
Not really knowing France, can anyone recommend any good ski resorts for beginners that are within a reasonable driving distance?

Hi sorry if this is a bit late but if you want good skiing I'd choose Flaine or anywhere in the Grand massif area Les Carroz - Morillon - Samoëns any of them pretty cheap as ski resorts go if you fly its only 1hr from Geneva or if you drive 12hrs from callas
It's a huge ski area loads to do & see very few lift queue's & good food
Flaine is purpose built ski resort the others are traditional ski villages very nice
