Hi jem1208 and welcome to HT!

If you put "singles +holidays" into the Search facility at the top of the page, there are several topics which may have some information.

Hi Jem. Have you thought of sharing with another female on an "Adventure Holiday?" I have just had a Tour of Morocco with Explore Worldwide and you dont pay supplement if you share. It was a great tour, but you dont have the luxury of "All-Inclusive!" They have also the option to pay extra for a room of your own. Have a look at their website...I am sure you will like it.

HI Jem

I have used Solos and Friendship Travel in the past. Both were very good. I dont use them anymore as I am no longer single, but if I were I wouldnt hesitate. I actually met my other half on a Friendship Travel holiday in Turkey. dont worry though the companies dont market themselves as dating agencies - it just happened for us!

there will always be people on these holidays that you dont gel with and you will always find people that you do- just like normal life really! I find them a great way of having a holiday with like minded people. make sure you choose something that you really want to do and you will find people who want to do exactly the same things as you.

I have also travelled alone on package holidays, and these have been fine, but have found that the evenings are worse when you have no one to go out for a meal and/or drinks with -, its pot luck really if you would meet people in this way. that's where the singles holidays come into their own as the host for the group, who will work for the company, will plan the evening meals for you. The big benefit being that if you dont want to join in you dont have to. Its your choice what you do on the holiday.

Hope that helps, if you want any more info let me know.

Also, have you a particular interest or hobby? I regularly go on salsa dance holidays on my own and the majority of the rest of the group are usually people travelling on their own too. It's a bit pot luck as to whether you will get on with everybody but at least you know that you will have something in common with everybody else which always makes starting up a conversation really easy.

Im a 46 year old man, I am going to Malaga in July 08, to see my brother. I will be travelling on my own, obviously I wont be with him all the time, so im wondering how I could meet other people, while im there??!!

Actually wouldnt it be a good idea to have a section on this site for likeminded people, so they could perhaps all meet up, if they happen to be on holiday at the same time/place? or would that be a bit risky?
